Nationwide is absolutely not on your side
After 5 years of being a customer, Nationwide dropped insurance coverage for my dog. I had Whole Pet With Wellness Plan for him. They "elected to discontinue certain plans including Whole Pet" The reason in the letter said "economic pressures from inflation, higher interest rates and rising costs" They are not offering a way to roll into another plan. They are cold-heartedly dropping the plan. After receiving the letter, I called Nationwide and I was told that I needed to sign up as a new customer, and that all the conditions currently covered will not be covered since they are now pre-existing conditions. On top of that the waiting period for accident, illness etc. would apply again. If I could give zero star for their treatment of pets, I would.

However I am dismayed
However, I am dismayed that Sonnet is pulling out of the auto insurance market in Alberta. I understand the requirement of profitability, but wonder if everything has been done to meet the challenges of a changing marketplace and serve loyal customers loyally.
