Healthy Paws provides excellent coverage and service! Been using them for 12 years for two dogs, who had many health issues, and I am completely satisfied with the coverage, the claims processing and the reimbursement process. Excellent company!

We have used Trurpanion for years and for the most part had great experience. I recently got a new puppy in August of 25 and immediately put insurance on her because we had high hopes of a great show dog which she is not let us down on! But, my puppy got sick in January of 2026 and her illness has been a huge expense and fortunately, once her deductible was met, Trurpanion started making payments to me. I'm grateful that she had pet insurance and she is now established for her illness which means Trurpanion who cover her for life is it occurs in the future.

Highly recommended!!

We have two dachshunds and their breed is prone to all sorts of back troubles. We have had it since our older boy was just a baby and never had to use it until this weekend. Our vet team was able to put our claim through the Trupanion system in front of us before we left the clinic. Our sweet boy did end up needing an MRI and surgery. Up front, our costs had many zeros following but with this insurance, we only had to pay a small portion that we already knew was not covered (such as the emergency costs of walking in the door). We really like that the vet team is able to get confirmation of what insurance pays and what we pay right up front, rather than us having to pay all up front and submit a claim later. I have highly recommended Trupanion to many people after seeing how easy this process was. Our little guy is now home recovering and we are just so thankful we opted for insurance all those years ago!

Smooth Claims Process, but Watch the Deductible

Submitting our claim for our dog’s porcupine‑quill incident was very easy, and Fetch kept us updated with frequent notifications. The refund arrived in a reasonable timeframe, which was great! One thing to note: our dog needed follow‑up visits, and because the timing crossed our annual renewal date, we had to pay the $300 deductible TWICE for what was essentially the same incident. This was our only claim in the six years of our dog's life, so it was an unexpected surprise. Overall, the process was smooth, but I’d encourage new customers to double‑check whether their policy uses an "annual" or "per‑incident" deductible so there are no surprises.
