Company representatives...great
The company representatives were excellent in assisting with my first submitted claim. Payment was timely and for the full amount submitted.

If there was 10 stars to hand out
If there was 10 stars to hand out, I would give 10. Recently my Bassett Hound (Oliver) had tumor surgery, which went great. I filed my claim & necessary backup paperwork & within days Pumpkin approved it. And within days after the approval, I received my check. Thanks for the great service. I will definitely recommend Pumpkin to all my friends & family.

Still waiting to see if vet visit will…
Still waiting to see if vet visit will be covered prior to surgery. It has been almost a month and still no answer. They sent an email requesting more info from the primary vet. Still nothing. Starting to feel like I am jumping through hoops.

The portal is very user-friendly
The portal is very user-friendly, and the process is seamless. Just need to upload invoices that are typically emailed from your vet.

Conditions are apparently the same as symptoms
Embrace plays fast and loose with "pre-existing conditions." It's not just the conditions they won't cover, but the symptoms or "clinical signs." Per a service rep: "Had [your dog] been treated for diarrhea, that would have also been a pre-existing clinical sign, so any related condition would be ineligible for coverage unless definitively ruled out to have been present at the time of onset and any subsequent pre-policy episodes." So if my dog has diarrhea because they have a parasite, and then have diarrhea again for another reason, nothing would be covered because they'd already had diarrhea. It's mindboggling how they truly don't have to cover anything. They wouldn't even cover a fecal exam to check for parasites despite another dog in the house having parasites. I am kicking myself for signing up with them.

Very disappointed
I was Terri my disappointed with Embrace and how they handled my two claims that were submitted at the beginning of this year. After submitting a claim there was little confirmation. When there was a response the said they needed more information from the providers. Information was submitted and then they wanted information from the very first vet that gave Hope her first shots when she was not with us and we didn’t have Embrace as our insurance. This process literally took several months, oil e calls and emails back and forth. Once all the information was submitted they said they had to review it AGAIN. SERIOUSLY! It literally took 5 months and a lot of prodding to get them to pay their portion of the bill to me. Very disappointed. We are looking into other insurance companies where we won’t have to deal with this type of craziness.
