From 5 stars to 1

They're asking for records that do not exist and have halted the claim process until they receive a pre-exam diagnosis from when I had Money's teeth cleaned. I can't even iterate how many emails they've sent and I've responded to. Initially, I gave a 5 star rating. Today, not so much but I'll update this review as my initial claim moves or doesn't move, along.

Absolute rip off

I have made one clain. It was denied because my dog had a previosly documented lipoma which was not biopsied at the time (because it didn't need to be biopsied) He developed a new mass under his chin but they have denied treatment and treatment for any future masses including all future cancers based on this. Stay away, don't waste your money.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Scammers. My pet was healthy and as soon as we had the first injury of his entire life, Embrace pet insurance found an excuse for every single issue and called it “pre-existing” when my vet even sent a report stating my pet was healthy and all tests were normal before his injury. Needless to say, I cancelled and will alarm anyone looking for pet insurance to go elsewhere!

Working with Embrace was easy

Working with Embrace was easy, but I realized the check was mailed to the wrong location. I have emailed, called, etc and have not gotten any response in over 2 weeks. It’s a nightmare!

Thank God for pet insurance

Thank God for pet insurance. Dealing with an animal that's having health issues is stressful enough, but add in a pricey bill can make it even worse. Fetch has been a lifesaver. Sometimes the claims take longer than their estimated time, but it all works out in the end. I appreciate all the updates throughout the process as well!

Lexi’s claim…

The claim form ask questions that you already had. Had to get Lexi’s medical records and scan them to my documents and then add them to form. Little to much to ask. Need to make easier.

ASPCA covered a fraction of our dog’s surgery bill

Our dog developed two cysts on her tail and hip, and one of them burst. She had to have surgery to remove them, and luckily, they were non-cancerous. The bill came to about $4K, but ASPCA covered less than $1K of the vet bill. Their explanation was that the cysts were “pre-existing conditions” and “your plan renewed in December of last year”. None of it made sense. We’ve had ASPCA insurance for our dog since 2018, and this was our first major claim. They’ve obviously written these policies in ways that allow them to stiff their customers when they most need help covering expensive vet bills.
