Waste of money
Got the insurance for our puppy at 12 weeks old. Price was $52.80 a month. We have had it now for a year and have had our dog cared for by the vet for shots along with micro chip and spayed. Beware everything is itemized and will place charges under different items than you think they might be and will send the rest to a deductible. We have paid $633.60 for 12 months and have sent in bills for $1433.00 for care that was not out of the ordinary and recieved back $110. What a Scam! Take the $633 a year or whatever it is and invest the money. You will have a better outcome on your return. Just another insurance company looking to screw you over. STAY AWAY!

Best Insurance - Most Likely Saved my Cat's Life
When I first got my cat, Darby, he was two and a half years old - after a deep dive on the internet, I decided to register him with Healthy Paws. On the off chance that Darby ever needed medical attention, it seemed like the best option for insurance. Almost four years later, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. One day, Darby started collapsing and having what I believe at the time to be seizures; after meeting with a neurologist, it was discovered that Darby was experiencing syncopal episodes. Darby has several heart issues that his cardiology team has dealt with excellently. A team I would never have been able to afford or seek treatment with without Healthy Paws. While he would occasionally experience episodes associated with bradyarrhythmias and ventricular tachycardia, Darby has been very fortunate. He had a Pacemaker placed and has been weaned off theophylline. The pacemaker surgery alone would have been nearly 10k without the help of Healthy Paws. Every month, Darby still requires medicine, which is about 70$ - which is covered by healthy paws. Also, for every check-up appointment, we have rangers from $700 - 14000 dollars. When Darby first started seeing his cardiologist, I was in college, and once again, the only reason he could receive this car was because of Healthy Paws. They get back with my 80% reimbursement easily within 24 hours of each appointment, and they have one of the most user-friendly claim filing systems I’ve ever encountered.

Price gouging
7/9/24 in addition to the increase in price below, I found something else out about their pricing. When you get a quote you can chose options to add exams fees and prescription drugs. On my quote if I added them both BEFORE selecting my reimbursement levels they came to $4.69/month. If I added them AFTER selecting reimbursement levels, they came to $14.09/month. A difference of $9.40/month added on the sly, hoping you won't notice (which I didn't when I signed up). All I can say is, be alert. Or go elsewhere. To all those giving Embrace 5 stars, have you recently received a renewal? Well I just did, and my cat's policy (which I've only had for one year so this is my first increase) went from $34.52/month to $51.37/month. That's a difference of $16.85, a more than 48% increase. I don't know how this is even legal. I expected it to go up but this is nothing more than greed and price gouging. If you're here doing your research before you consider signing up with them, think twice. Actually, think more than twice.

Very Misleading Company
Hello, I never write negative reviews, but today I am because this company is very dishonest. I applied for health insurance for my kitten, and was told that everything I needed to be covered including the exam and spay was reimbursed by 90%. I triple checked with the representative to make sure that if I upgraded to the more expensive platinum plan, that it will include the procedures I needed. After it was all set and done, I was reimbursed barely 40% of the total cost. I called them back to discuss the issue and they said sorry that you had a representative tell you that, it's not true. Zero accountability, and completely misled me before I paid $600 in bills.
