We are new to Prudent Pet
We are new to Prudent Pet, but as a starter, there was a good balance between coverage, deductible and costs. I do wish they had a direct pay with the vet, but I think this is still the right decision.

Unacceptable Wait Times but Claim Paid
I have been with Pets Best for 3.5 years now. For the first 2.5 years, I had no complaints but since they were bought out by a different company, their service has been extraordinarily slow. My dog had surgery on 8/27 and I submitted the claim for the procedure the very next day. At midnight on the 42nd day (the very last day of their promised turn around time) I received a notice that my claim was closed because they couldn't contact my vet. The next morning, I was able to contact my vet and get them the missing paperwork within 3 hours. The only reason it took so long is because Pets Best made me wait 1 hour to talk to a rep to figure out what paperwork was missing and another 1.5 hours again to tell another rep that I had submitted all of the paperwork. Additionally, the vet said they had never been contacted, so I am wondering if Pets Best ever even reached out to them. After waiting for another 30 days, they finally processed my claim. I will say that they did fully cover my dog's surgery as promised in my policy but it took close to 3 months and several hours of waiting and following up to ensure that the claim was processed.
