Inefficient assessment team, and bad and unhelpful call center.
I would have given zero star if it allows. I registered my kitten with the vet clinic via phone and when I received invoices from the clinic, I didn’t check the name spelling. I submitted claims and realized my kitten’s name was misspelled when I got feedback from petsbest that the expenses weren’t for my kitten. It was the 1st letter on her name that was wrong. Another comment was part of the invoice was obscured. When I called and asked the call center couldn’t tell me what that obscure portion was. How am I supposed to fix it if I don’t even know what they are looking for. Back to the misspelling of name, after I talked to one of the call center, she told me it’s okay if I prepared a letter for the vet to confirm and signed that it is the kitten which the name is on the insurance that she took care of. (Actually the insurance wanted the vet to call them to confirm this. I told them I waited more than 30 minutes before someone taking my call. It’s not practical for the vet to call and how could the insurance validate someone in the phone.) I informed the vet what have happened and she kindly signed that letter for me. I submitted the letter but the insurance came back with the same comment. I called again with the purpose to ask for extension because the vet is on vacation. This time the person who received the call was rude. You can tell if someone didn’t want to help or talk to you by his tone of voice. So I was told that the case couldn’t be paused. He told me to try with anyone at all at the clinic even after I told him that it’s a small clinic and every time I was there, it was just a vet and one assistant. Then I asked for the 3rd claim I submitted. If I have to go to the clinic and ask for more evidence, I would want to go once. (I submitted 3 claims and got back 2 response the 2nd time). He couldn’t tell me anything. I would assume that call center has more info than I have. I would really love to talk to the assent team directly to understand what that they want. Don’t put me to a call center if the only answer they could tell is the same thing on the website because it don’t help at all and such a waste of time.

Easy to file a claim & check comes fast.
What I love about this company is the ease in which to file a claim online and the speed that they pay the claim. Their parameters are clear on the claims they deny and they have a yearly deductible. I know this going in. I like their service and I refer them to others.

The claims process has been very easy. Just upload the documents and in a few days they have made payment. This experience has been stressful for both me and my dog but Embrace has been quick and efficient. Very glad I chose to insure through Embrace.

I started with the insurance for my dog when he was 10 month, started paying 39, after few months went up to 42 and now that my dog hasn’t even turned 2 they are charging me 61. They aren’t honest to clients at they one. I’m wondering how much I will pay by the time my dog turns 5. I haven’t even used the insurance once. My dog is a healthy dog so far. They are stealing money from clients. Is better to put the same among of money away monthly and by the time you need it you will have enough money to pay for the dog illness yourself. Do not go to this company.

If it weren’t for this coverage, I honestly don’t know how I would have managed to get my beloved dog the veterinary care he needed. Recently, my pup faced a sudden health issue that required immediate attention. Thanks to this amazing plan, I was able to get him the treatment he needed without the stress of overwhelming out-of-pocket expenses. The process was incredibly smooth and straightforward. Another insurance company trying their hardest not to pay out claims
The 15 day waiting period isn’t well presented to new clients at all. We recently had to switch insurance because our dog had insurance through a specific vet and had some major issues that led to us finding a mass in her colon. Even though we found the mass well after the 15 day period they claimed that because she was treated for diarrhea within the 15 day period her mass was a preexisting condition. They also claimed her surgery to remove the mass wasn’t even covered under the illness and accident plan. When they complete claims they give very minimal, canned responses as to their reasoning and give no immediate way to dispute claims without calling and getting into things with someone on the phone. We were stuck in a tough position with switching insurance providers. All we were trying to do was save our dog’s life. I’d expect a company to give some bit of compassion in situations like this. At the end of it all we got screwed by the 15 day waiting period. Funny though, they sure as hell took my money on day one! Thanks for wasting my time and money! Edit: Just to note, I was so perturbed by the above I called and cancelled my service. If someone from the Spot team can resolve my issue, I'll be more than happy to remove this review. I'll edit as necessary. Edit 2: Other than a repeat of the above re-explanation of terms and preexisting conditions from spot, no real, meaningful, empathetic responses were ever received from the company as they claimed in their response here. 2 days before Christmas, we had to put our little girl down because we couldn't afford the additional care she required after surgery and other care required for a full recovery after the cancer. Literally can't begin to express the upmost anger and hatred I will forever hold against this company. Glad I was able to add some dollars to your 2024 profit margins at the expense of a member of my family.
