Quick and Easy claims
I love that my vet office is able to submit the claims for me. The text messages and emails to let me know the status of the claim is really helpful and the payout is quick and directly deposited to my bank account so literally 0 effort on my part so I can focus on my fur baby!

I wish human insurance was this easy!
I still can't get over how easy the claims process is, great job! All the things that weren't covered were clear and understandable too, I appreciate that.

Hidden fees
Extremely disappointed in the lack of transparency around the “$35 account activation fee”. Never was this shared with me in my initial call with a Trupanion agent. Nor was it shared in the 75 emails I received in my first month of free care. Lastly, it was not communicated anywhere until AFTER I paid! That is absolutely ridiculous to have a hidden fee that is equivalent to the most they premium.

Good insurance, a must for pet owners
Trupanion is fast to reimburse for expenses, when the amount is small - a few days. For larger amounts, it takes weeks. But they are good and professional to deal with.
