We've had Pumpkin for over a year and they have only paid a couple claims. They don't even pay for spay/neutering.

More insurance company shenanigans
This company sits at what is wrong with insurance these days--I had to create a second account for another animal per their rules and when confusion arose concerning billing and cancellation, they refused to reinstate my account even though the cancellation was unintentional and involved a compromised credit card. The agent agreed to reinstate my account after getting "approval" then the next day they canceled that "approval". They raised rates every year.

Slow to resolve claims
I proactively collected all my dogs claims and submitted them directly to Embrace. They tell me they received them but my claim status is still "pending medical records" Representatives tell me its just going to be a couple days. It's been over a week. Very disappointed.

Gave our girl a fighting chance with IMHA
Our girl Rylee was diagnosed with IMHA at the end of August 2024 after an emergency visit to an animal hospital 1.5 hours away. You guys made making the decision for her treatment so much easier. She needed 12 days of hospital stay, multiple blood transfusions, and 8+ medications. The cost wouldn't have been possible without you. You made all of our claims so smooth and although the outcome wasn't what we wanted, you at least gave us the ability to give her a fighting chance and we will NEVER be able to thank you enough.

Accidents and illness - a must have!!
I’ve been using pets best since I rescued my senior doggo a few years ago. Compared rates across multiple pet insurance companies and pets best was by far the best rate for my senior rescue. Sadly, she got diagnosed with an advanced form of cancer. But pets best has been amazing about reimbursing claims taking the weight of financial costs and strains off my shoulder during this stressful time. This is provided that I have taken the initiative to ask the vet for the medical documentation to upload into your pet portal, submit invoice, proof of payment, etc to get all items required for the claim to be processed in as timely a manner as possible. Pets best has reimbursed me weeks earlier than the expected timeframe. It only took less than 3 weeks for my dogs sedated CT scan and cancer mass removal surgery claim to be processed then around 5-7 more days before I received the claim reimbursement deposit. Can’t recommend them enough!!

They almost never paid out
They almost never paid out. They always twisted the veterinary information to avoid paying. Eventually, after paying for several years, I was paying $200 a month for two dogs and I thought I might as well put that money in a savings account in case of a catastrophe.

I can't say enough good things about…
I can't say enough good things about Spot. They have been so helpful through my cat Buddy's illnesses. Although my Bud is not with me any more I do plan on adopting a couple more kitties sometime in the future. When I do I will most certainly insure them through Spot. Thank you for your support.
