I am an honest person and would not try to take advantage of a company or anyone but I must say i felt Pest best did that to me. I fully disclosed my dogs history when I got my insurance, this includes and surgery in his left rear leg. Well as it happens a few MONTHs mind you into his time with Pets Best he needed surgery on his right leg. I was paranoid so I called to make sure they would cover me. I thought surely its no problem, no we wont cover that. The explanation given was it was considered a bilateral condition. A, injury to a separate leg in a ligament considered bilateral? Ok, so what good is this insurance? If you tore your ACL would Elis cross say we wont cover your other leg? They left me with a $3000 bill. If they had told me up front at least I would know. I canceled immedialtley

The questions that he could not answer were followed up via email. Not only did he answer questions but was very personable. In todays world people can be abrupt when answering questions. Nationwide insurance has been nothing but wonderful while I care for my Berner boy’s health. Every interaction has been positive including claim submission, customer service questions, and claim response timeliness. I work in the healthcare profession (orthopedics), and dealing with insurance is often difficult for both providers and patients. My expectations were a bit jaded, but I’ve been so impressed, and truly feel like you care about my dog, and me. This insurance is affordable and they are quick to respond to all claims. I have to say having insurance for my ESA pup has been a life savor she has had to have surgery on both her hind legs, she had a ruptured acl in both legs about a year apart, which ran us around $3000.00 for both legs and with out this insurance I am sure we would still be paying for it, not to mention the injections she will now need for the rest of her life. I can honestly say without this insurance we would be struggling to get her medical needs taken care of. I would give my last penny for my pup but now I don't have to thanks to Nation wide pet insurance. I highly recommend this to all animal lovers.

I requested the vet to send my pet’s information over just for Trupanion to have on file. I wasn’t even thinking about a claim being submitted. Two days later, I received an email stating that my claim had been processed. It was by far the easiest insurance claim I have ever submitted.

I love having this insurance! However why an 8 instead of 10: 1 - when I called to enroll I was told food and supplement if prescribed would be covered and they're not. VERY disappointing! 2 - no lock in rate. So as Branson ages and needs more care I will probably not be able to afford his insurance.

In the last two years our dog has had two major illnesses, one required emergency surgery and a blood transfusion, the other nearly 8 months of expensive medication, and not only did ASPCA cover 80%, getting reimbursed couldn’t have been easier or faster!
