If I could give them zero stars I…

If I could give them zero stars I would. You’re better off saving your money on your own because these guys will not pay out a single claim. Bought insurance for my kitten and during the first year she felt a bit sick so took her to the vet and she got treated for a slight respiratory virus. Fetch didn’t cover because of some BS they stated. It wasn’t a lot of money so I said ok I will let it slide. It came time to neuter her and I opted for a plan that covered $150 of neutering. Nope denied too because it needed an add on. They are complete crooks, stay away.

PetsPlusUs is a great insurance provider for your dog

You can take care of your animal so well and they can be in the best shape and then all of a sundden accident/injury happens. I feel so blessed to have a great insurance provider with PetsPlusUs. They helped me get my dog the surgery she needed so desperately.

Girly (Pet) was found on the side of the highway during the holiday travel rush. Like many, we could have ignored her, but instead, we stopped. Seeing how severe her injuries were and not knowing her chances of survival, we took her to the vet to ensure she received care. When we learned about her fracture, we didn’t want to be selfish, so I brought her to Animal Shelter, believing they could provide the proper treatment she needed. However, upon visiting her, I was devastated to learn that due to financial constraints, the shelter was considering possibly amputating her leg rather than exploring other treatment options. That did not sit right with me, as I felt Girly deserved every chance at recovery. On January 3rd, 2025, I made the decision to adopt her so she could receive the care she truly needed. I found an orthopedic specialist who shares my belief that amputation should only be a last resort. This veterinarian understands the true value of an animal’s life and well-being. It breaks my heart that organizations like yours seem to prioritize finances over genuinely helping both pets and their owners. True compassion means doing what is best for the animal, not simply what is most convenient or cost-effective. I sincerely hope you reconsider your approach to animal care so that others do not have to go through a similar experience. I was unaware of pet insurance until recently, and many individuals highly recommended your company. However, after receiving your invoice and learning that you are unable to proceed with my claim, I am deeply disappointed. I understand that Girly’s condition was pre-existing when we found her, but I had hoped that your company would consider the unique circumstances of her situation. She was abandoned and injured when we rescued her, and we took every step to ensure she received proper care. I believed that your organization, which prides itself on supporting pet owners, would be willing to work with us to find a fair solution. Unfortunately, given this experience, I can no longer recommend your company due to the lack of understanding and flexibility in handling cases like ours. I had expected more compassion and willingness to help from a company dedicated to animal welfare. I completely understand that insurance is designed for unexpected events and that your company must apply policies fairly to all members. However, I want to clarify that Girly was found in critical condition on the side of the highway. At the time, we had no prior history of her medical condition—we simply acted out of compassion to save her life. When we made the decision to keep her and provide her with proper care, we sought insurance coverage, believing that organizations like yours would consider the unique nature of such rescues. While I respect the need for fairness in the industry, cases like Girly’s highlight a gap in support for rescued animals who have no prior medical records. It is disheartening that, despite our best efforts to do the right thing, we are left without assistance in helping her recover fully. I truly hope that in the future, companies like Trupanion will support rescued animals in similar situations.

Great customer service

It was a great experience from the time a "real" person answered the phone. He was very polite and helpful. I needed to update my payment information and wasn't able to figure out how to do it on my own. The gentleman I spoke to was very happy to assist me and in a matter of minutes update was completed.

I keep getting claim denials

I keep getting claim denials, live chat never works, wait on hold forever to only get open-ended non-answers. Emails never answered. My last claim they wanted my pet's SOAP notes. Turned them in and still another 10-15 days. It has already been a month. I'm about ready to contact the BBB and/or my state attorney general to file a complaint.

Great customer service

Claims are processed quickly and fairly, based on level of insurance purchased.. It is easy to post claims online and funds are sent to customer bank account via direct deposit. The company responds to claims and any questions quickly. Customer service is a strength for this company. A+ for customer service.

Pet insurance

Pet insurance has been a god send for us. Out of 5 pets all but 1 have had major health issues that would have been hard to pay for out of pocket. As the dogs get older the premiums go up but until after 10 or 11 it has always paid for itself in claims submitted. Pets Best has been wonderful and we have had it for over 10 years .

These people are stealing from me!!! I canceled my pet insurance and they continued to take.miney from my account. I am in contact with my bank and I will be getting my money back!!
