Spot Pet Insurence is a scam

Spot Pet Insurence is a scam. They will not pay for the cost seeing with the vet which you already paid out of pocket. I got the plan accident and illness already 9 months and my two cats are 13 months now. Last 2 weeks ago one of my cat look hard to use litter box and he changed behavior using litter box, so i went to a vet and follow the procedures a vet need to know what happen to him. Then I called the spot customer service for how to claim a bill and she show me how to claim, but also she told me for the future before you payout you have to claim estimate bills first then after they approved i can do process. I was never heard like it before. In my case this is the cat not dog, as long as they are healthy i am not seeing the vet. After claim filled a week later spot asked for the medical record that my cats are not even born date. I called them and told them about it and to file what ever i have. Then I reclaim again with my cat very first vaccine that my breeder took, other than that i do not update any more because they are kitten and healthy. Then they said not eligible of the whole invoice of claim. I called spot and they keep asking vaccine record that i do not have. I can even understand that they do not want to pay total invoice but should be cover for some of them like seeing the vet cost or some medication. I just write about this to understand how they are handling on claiming process. They are just try to find a reasons to not pay back. Also what they sale about coverage and no worry about cost at the beginning are all lie and beware for it. What i paid 9 months insurence $114.61 for both cats doesn’t even cover a penny of first claim. I will end with them. Updated: they not pay because i don’t have wellness vaccine records for cats. What is the point for paid them for past 9 months for plan illness.

Illness claim

Pets Best worked surprisingly well. My pup was vomiting for over 24 hours so I took him to the vet. Based on the vet's experience and my dog's symptoms, he just treated the nausea rather than doing a lot of exploratory procedures. I was worried that the insurance would not cover it since there wasn't a cause determined, but they did (towards my deductible). The claims process was very easy and the communication was clear. I did a lot of research before purchasing this policy and it worked as well as I had hoped.

Clear, easy to use website and process

I just submitted my first claim, and this is the first time I've had pet insurance. Embrace made the process very easy, modern and simple. The site was designed in a way that made things very clear, and I submitted my claim in minute. Also, they allow you to link to your bank account for reimbursements - so no more wondering if your check will be lost in snail mail after waiting weeks and wondering if you misplaced it. Their turn around times (listed) for approving claims also makes it easy to keep track of - 1-2 days. So far I'm impressed by the thoughtful design of the site and ease of use of the insurance.

My dog has been insured for years now…

My dog has been insured for years now and at first the coverage was really great. He has been on the same plans the whole time but the insurance is covering less and less of the cost, meanwhile the price of the insurance just continues to increase.

Increased our premium 46%

After one year they increased our premium 46% on our 3 year old healthy dog. We did not use our insurance at all that whole year. When I called to ask them to justify this ridiculous increase they cited inflation and rising vet fees…I’m sorry, I know for a fact neither of those things have risen that high. Stay away from Embrace, they’re just out to rob you.
