Insurance great for my 9 yr. old cat.
I have a 9 yr. old neutered Siamese cat I got from Siamese Rescue when he was two. He had very bad gingivitis resulting in my having to have most of his teeth extracted at age three; a very expensive vet bill resulted. After that he was very healthy until age 9 when he suddenly became ill with acute kidney failure. I quickly took him to my veterinarian where he was hospitalized for 5 days, came home for two, but relapsed and was hospitalized again for another three days. He has gradually recovered and is doing well with twice a week hydration and a phosphate blocker added to his food twice daily (he will not eat prescription kidney food). Luckily, I had taken out insurance on him with Trupanion the year before. Even with an $800 deductible, the insurance started picking up 90% of the eligible charges for the first hospitalization and has been paying 90% on all the subsequent charges connected with my cat's ongoing kidney disease. This has been a great relief to me as vet bills for some illnesses can be astronomical. I also have another cat insured with Trupanion and feel confident that I will be able to do my best for her if she has any unexpected medical problems. I consider my insurance premiums to be money very well spent!

couldn't be more pleased
My weimaraner puppy has had some serious intestinal issues which required a complex surgery and some complications afterward. I am very happy with the handling of the claims and the prompt attention and payment, with just one drawback. I believe Embrace's expectations of the veterinarian are unrealistic. To require them to elaborate on treatment when they provide a detailed invoice is taking up their time and costing them money, when they receive no direct benefit from the claim. My fear is that as this happens more and more, my vet will refuse to take the time to do this. Other than that, Embrace has been one of the best decisions I've made.

Thanks goodness for Embrace
My guy was diagnosed almost 2 1/2 months ago with a pulmunary mass (cancer). I can honestly say that if werent for Embrace, he would not be with us and fighting this cancer today. Dealing with cancer is an incredibly expensive prospect, and if we did not have him insured, we would not have had the chance to fight this disease. I feel blessed for every extra, great day that we have with him. We still have a bit to go, but I have to thank Embrace for making this all happen. They have been quick to respond to my every claim, and have been so kind with any questions about procedures and coverages. The best news was that when my coverage begins its annual renewal, there will be no "pre-existing" condition given to his current situation. So if we have to continue to fight the good fight, there will be no question whether we can or not! Thank you, Thank you, thank you!!!
