Calm in a Storm
We have been so happy with Trupanion. They have provided amazing service before- but recently went above and beyond in customer service. Our mini dachund went into severe anaphylactic shock after eating a bee and we almost lost her. Trupanion reps were on the phone with me once we reached the emergency vet and stabilized her- and had me pre-authorized for her extended hospital stay within a half hour. They called us back- at the emergency vet- and told the vet- we were preauthorized. Not having to wait on hold or in a phone tree under those circumstances was crucial. We received our claim information immediately and it was paid within a week of my submission of receipts.I would recommend you buy Trupanion as soon as you bring home a puppy or kitten! Fast, kind, compassionate.

If only human insurance were this great!
We love Healthy Paws! Our kitty Sammy has an unfortunate habit of eating strange objects. After his first surgery, I decided to shop around for pet insurance for him. As fate would have it, Sammy decided to swallow another object on the very day the 10-day waiting period was over, so I was worried they might not cover it. But no problem! Claim was very easy to upload (WHY is BCBS-NC not this easy?!), and it was processed very quickly. I had a check in hand in less than a week, for 90% of Sammy's second surgery bill (minus deductible/exam fee). This saved us $thousands! We also got Healthy Paws insurance for our puppy when we got him last year--haven't had to use it yet, but good to know it's there if needed. Fast forward to 2 years later (November 2015). Sammy was sick again, and I feared the worst, so off he went to the animal hospital. Turned out to be gastritis/pancreatitis, so luckily no surgery was needed, and after some critical care, Sammy is now back to his old tricks. Bill was $995, and in the end I paid only $293 out of pocket. Again, I had the check in hand in less than 1 week after filing the claim. I just can't say enough about the peace of mind I have knowing my pets will get the care they need, without breaking my piggy bank like the first surgery did (pre-insurance). Pets are family, but they can do unpredictable things and come down with unpredictable illnesses, so I am more than happy to pay my monthly insurance to Healthy Paws, because I know they are going to come through for me. They even followed up with an email to inquire about Sammy's recovery! Healthy Paws is the best!

I just submitted a claim for the second TPLO on our dog, The Rooster. He was diagnosed about a year ago (still a puppy) with bilateral CCL tears, so we submitted a pre-app? to Trupanion which they processed quickly. The processing time on the first one was very good, better than expected--we go a check in a couple weeks. The processing time on the second one was even better--2 days. We have the no deductible plan, and that has worked out well for us. I recommend this insurance to all my friends.

so far, so good
no complaints. Easy to file, quick response. Still an on going problem with my dog, Skittles. I'm told she will need a MRI, however the steroids are helping. When she tries to run she drags her hind legs. I am worried about her but having Embrace health insurance by my side I feel a little better, like we both want her to get better. I really think it was a good decision to get insurance, after all, my dogs are family too!!

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is Amazing!
Healthy Paws Pet Ins. is amazing! We've had it for a little over two years now for our 2 1/2 year old boxer mix. Luke has had several claims in the past year due to ACL tear in his right leg 7 months ago and ACL tear in his left leg a few weeks ago. Healthy Paws has never contested a charge. I love how easy and quick their claim process is. Our vet emailed the invoice and claim form for us and we received an email confirmation that it was recieved and another email that a check was being sent.The Healthy Paws staff are great too! Anytime I emailed or called them they are so genuinely concerned about Luke. I even received emails from them asking about how Luke was recovering after his traumatic surgeries and they always ended the emails telling us to give Luke lots of love from them. I will always recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance to anyone that loves their pets because Healthy Paws treats my dog like family.
