Very helpful customer service

My dog has always been healthy and upbeat, but was suffering from a severe stomach problem. He was very ill and I was very scared for his condition. After taking him to the vet to make sure he was ok, I filed a claim with Pets Best. After being a customer for over 3 years and never having to use my insurance, the customer service representative was very helpful walking me through the process and making sure I understood everything. I would recommend them to any pet owner!

Superior Service

I have never had or used Pet Insurance before over many years of dog guardianship. We rescued our dog of 2 .2 years and signed up for this insurance through our veterinarian. Within two months we had two claims that were paid immediately. The first was for neutering and removal of two cysts. The next month our dog got an intestinal disorder for three days had diarrhea. I submitted each claim and it was paid within three to five days. Impressive service I must say.

Excellent communication and responsiveness

About six months ago our senior German Shepard began having diarrhea all the time and was losing weight despite eating good quantities of high quality kibble. Through the tests that finally identified the issue and the subsequent treatment that will need to continue for the rest of her life I was very impressed by the speed of Trupanion's acknowledgement and settlement of our claims and the friendly and caring language of their emails and letters. On the few times that I have called them the person to whom I spoke also was very friendly and not only assisted me quickly and quickly but asked about our pet. We have been very pleased with Trupanion's service.

Extremely helpful customer service

I had several questions regarding a recent claim for heart disease. I spoke with Kendra who was very nice and helped me with all my questions. I thought of even more questions hours later and luckily spoke to Kendra again. She remembered me and my dog's illness and was able to help answer all my questions. I can't say enough about Pets Best excellent customer service and how much they truly do care!

Fast and they actually pay claims

Every time I have submitted a bill they have been prompt in payment. I have recommended them to several friends. They have been outstanding to work with. Fast payment of cliams and the least exclusions--they have paid thousands in claims reimbursements back to me. Exactly what I need from a pet insurance company.

The best of all I've tried!

Pets Best is a wonderful insurance company that is staffed by true animal lovers! I have had terrible experiences with past pet insurance providers, and have been shocked (in a good way!) at just how effectively and honestly this business is run. All five of my cats are insured with Pets Best. They have a discount for multiple pets!

Pet's Best Treated Us Very Well

My Sheltie mix, Ruby, was diagnosed with hemangiosarcosis not long after we adopted her. Pet's Best was amazing -- they not only paid our claim up to our policy limit, but refunded was was remaining on our yearly premium. Their customer service staff was so supportive and helpful. I have recommended Pet's Best to any of my friends who have treasured pets.

Great Service

I've filed a few claims in the past 2-3 months and for each claim I received quick reimbursements. I would recommend Trupanion to any pet owner.

Shot while out exploring

Our Dew is a curious cat. Whenever there is anything happening our Dew is there. He went out on a beautiful Saturday morning in mid November and didn't return. We heard gunshots in the distance, but didn't think they were near enough to be of any danger to our animals. However, Dew didn't come home for 2 days. When we finally found him holed up in our garage, we were so happy to see him, but soon realized there was a big problem. We thought perhaps he had been mauled by coyotes. We rushed him to the vet first thing in the morning where it was discovered he had not 1 but 2 gunshot wounds with the bullet still logged in his neck. The vet was astonished that the bullet hadn't hit any vital organs in his back, nor any arteries. He did however have a shattered scapula. They determined that it was really one bullet that hit him. It went in his side, skimmed upward about 5 to 6 inches, exited his body but reentered at his shoulder, shattered his scapula and logged in his neck just under the skin. They needed to treat him for the infection that had already set in and after 10 days referred us to a Vet in Albuquerque, NM 300 miles away. When we got there the Vet looked at how well he was doing and thought at first that the xrays he had received had exaggerated the damage. Upon review of new xrays he determined that the surgery must be done immediately. To leave it as it was would mean Dew would lose his front leg within less than a year. We agreed to nearly $3000.00 for
