ASPCA Insurance is great!
I love how SPCA Insurance calls after a claim to check up on how my dog is feeling. I wish my Health Insurance cared that much. The customer service is always very friendly.

Amazing!
We changed to Healthy Paws for our two year old Goldendoodle with some pre-existing conditions (knowing they would not be covered). After our first claim, we submitted all of his medical records for review. At that point, HP gave us a list of what they were considering pre-existing. They were very fair with how they applied these exclusions. Three months after insuring him with HP, our boy started having some problems with reflux. When our vet couldn't get it settled down, we were sent to the State teaching hospital for work-up. At that time, we found that he had severe liver damage believed to be from some type of toxic exposure (all of his liver tests were completely normal two weeks earlier and now were 40x normal). He was emergently admitted to the hospital. We sat in shock as we talked to the admitting vet. He had been supervised at all times when outside to make sure he did not find anything to eat that would upset his stomach.He gets the best food. Our vet assists us with a minimal vaccine plan. We use no lawn chemicals. I don't even have dryer sheets in the house. How could he possible have had a toxic exposure. As the vet was sitting with us going over the list of what tests needed to be done and how much everything was going to cost, we did not have to deal with the added stress of how we were going to pay for his treatment. We are retired and never wanted to be put in the position of having to make medical decisions based upon our finances. Thanks to Healthy Paws, this was not an issue and all we had to say was "if it needs to be done, do it." Numerous vet visits, an emergency room visit, two days admitted in intermediate care, more tests than I thought possible and medication costs that were unbelievable. Healthy Paws had taken care of it all and I usually have a check in hand within a week. I appealed one item they thought was related to a pre-existing condition by having the vet fax in the records (all they had to work with initially was the bill) and it was fixed the same day. This is the best money I have ever spent - I should have insurance this good!

I had an unusual situation with my cat Skittles and I have to say that while I was happy with Healthy Paws up until Skittles, after Skittles I know I will never leave them. I found them to be a very compassionate and thoughtful company who took the time to listen to my situation with Skittles and it all ended very well. Highly recommended.

My credit card was charged $84.60 during "Free Trial", was given false information
I though I would give Trupanion a try after spending a small fortune trying to keep my sick dog going before losing her several months ago. We adopted an amazing 2 year old rescue dog, and received a coupon for a 30 day free trial at Trupanion from the rescue agency. I called to set up trial, and was asked to provide credit card to begin trial and was told I would not be charged until the trial ended. I decided that I did not need this policy, so I called customer service and canceled the policy. Several days later, I looked at credit card statement and noticed an 84.60 charge from Trupanion which was put through the day of the cancellation. When I called to complain, the customer service rep that I spoke to told me it was not necessary to provide a credit card upon commencement of trial, and that a "check" has been sent to me for a full refund. I asked why wasn't I given a refund to my credit card, he said that "he had never heard of such a thing" and that in his many years of experience it was not possible to issue a refund to a credit card??? Very strange interaction - beware because their customer service folks seem to make this stuff up as they go!

Our dog's life saved!!
At the age of 2 1/2 our mixed breed rescue developed seizures. If not for Embrace we could not have afforded all of the diagnostic tests, neurology specialist and medications she has required! We were told by neurology that the most common cause of death for dogs with seizures is euthanasia because owners can't keep up with medical bills. With Embrace, Winnie has been seizure free for 6 months 😊

If you have a fury family member, you need to have Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! Our fur babies are a part of our family and Healthy Paws allows us to provide the care they need and deserve without the worry of expensive vet bills. My baby, Rocky, recently had to have TPLO surgery and getting reimbursed for this surgery was quick and painless. They even sent a personal email asking how his recovery was going! Healthy Paws customer service is top notch and that really means something today, where good customer service is hard to find and robotic. I just got my claim reimbursement form and the amount you paid out, which was great. I have been worried sick about my dog and my finances for days and am practically crying I am so happy that this is taken care of. I am so thankful Embrace was there for my goldendoodle when it was needed. She needs ACL surgery and it is covered under the plan I chose.
