I have had pet insurance before (VPI) and was not happy at all. My friend told me about Embrace and it has been a life savior. The customer service is great and I receive checks within a week of sending in my claim. I can not say enough about Embrace. Without Embrace I'm pretty sure my husband would have divoriced me by now!!!!!

Our First experience with VPI
At first dealing with pet insurance was frustrating and confusing, but once I got the gist of it, I have had no problems what-so-ever. When you first file a claim they do ask for the pets 3 year history. After that they do need a one year history with each claim. Its not a problem to obtain at the veterinary clinic. Some claims only take a few days to process and you receive your reimbursement within 2 weeks. So far after insuring 3 dogs, I have no complaints.

Remi, our Miniature Bull Terrier has had Healthy Paws since he was 4 years old. Almost immediately after we purchased the insurance he developed an genetically caused eye condition that required expensive surgeries and lifelong medications. Healthy Paws covered all of his medical costs. On Christmas this year, Remi became ill. We rushed him to the emergency veterinarian where he was diagnosed with a life threatening pericardial effusion. We were informed that pericardial effusions generally occur due to a cancer in the heart called a hemanagiosarcoma and this diagnosis would be terminal. The emergency veterinarian told that if they performed the procedure they could give Remi (and us) quality time together and time to perform additional testing to confirm the diagnosis. Unfortunately, over the next few days his diagnosis was confirmed. Despite this, these days were cherished and he was without suffering. We are thankful that we had Healthy Paws Insurance during this difficult time as it provided us the ability to make decisions that were based entirely on the best interest of Remi. Thankful for Healty Paws Insurance!
My energetic Bichon Frise tore his ACL and I was told he needed surgery at a cost of over $3,000! I had never filed a claim before so I was worried. I found the process to upload documents easy, and they were easy to contact. They were helpful and friendly on the phone and I was helped throughout the process. The reinbursement check came quickly. I have since recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

Healthy paws helped save our Christmas
When my fiancé and I first adopted our dog my brother insisted that we get pet insurance. I researched all the pet insurances online and even made a spread sheet of what was covered and included in each one. From all the 5 star reviews and the information I found, I decided on Healthy Paws. I hoped I never had to actually submit a claim but unfortunately our young dog had different plans. A couple days before Christmas he got into our trash and decided to put Healthy Paws to the test. We realized he had ingested something when he became lethargic and began to refuse food on Christmas Day. We brought him to the emergency vet and sure enough he needed a $4,000 surgery/hospital stay to remove a foreign body from his stomach. After we picked up our dog from his surgery, I immediately started the claim process. I took a picture of his itemized receipt on the Healthy Paws App and hit submit (yes it was that simple). A couple days later I received an email stating that my claim was accepted and was informed that our reimbursement check was on its way. I couldn't believe how fast and easy the claim process was but the absolute best part is we got reimbursed the exact amount that I was expecting. From my experience with other insurance companies I thought for sure I would be on the phone for days trying to figure out why they didn't cover certain parts of the surgery and trying to fight to get more money back. This absolutely was not the case with Healthy Paws! There were no hidden fees or rules that we missed and our check arrived quickly in the mail. In the midst of planning a Wedding and after all the Christmas bills getting reimbursed the money for the surgery was amazing. Thanks Healthy Paws for helping to save our Christmas! Our dog is happy, healthy and back to his old antics!

Trupanion turns around claims quickly, covers many procedures and issues that arise from medical emergencies. The claims department is very responsive to emails and questions. All that and great customer service. I would recommend Trupanion to anyone.

Great Experience and would definitely recommend FIGO!
I have had a wonderful experience with FIGO thus far. My dog was sick and needed blood work, X-rays, follow up visits, medication, etc. once the deductible was met, they paid almost everything. It took a couple of weeks to get my reimbursement but I thought it was fairly timely. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of this and because I have really only had one experience with them at this point. I would definitely recommend FIGO. This insurance saved me a lot of out of pocket expense with just one illness. We never found out what was wrong, but it waded up quickly and was a very high vet bill!

We were given pet insurance as a benefit at work. At first I was a little skeptical about it because working in the Veterinary field you find out real quick who's good and who's not. Once I got everyone uploaded into their own profiles shortly after a representative called and e-mailed me just to check in and see if I needed anything. She even made it personal and commented on how cute my cat was, which really goes to show you she researched my account before contacting me. Figo has more than proved themselves. Thankfully I have only had to submit one claim and they were very fast and explained everything. They even sent Brie a get will card which was personally addressed to her and hand written. That speaks volumes about how much they care. When you call their office you get someone right away and it's not outsourced which makes a huge difference. I am very please so far with everyone I have felt with.
