excellant service - worth the price
My cat was at the vet and I was told she needed hospitalization. I called Trupanion to find out if she was covered. The staff at Trupanion immediately worked with the hospital staff to get the treatment plan pre-approved and paid the veterinary hospital directly. All I had to pay was my portion of the bill. If I had to pay the entire bill and wait to be reimbursed, my cat would not have been able to get the treatment she needed. Thank You Trupanion!

Healthy Paws saved our furbaby Khan
11/17/14 was terrifying. Khan, our 3 year old BT, started vomiting around 8 pm and continued throughout the night- over 30 times. We took him to the vet the next morning, where he was in borderline shock. Over the course of his 3 day stay, he was diagnosed with severe pancreatitis, which was caused by a blockage in his stomach and intestines, which turned out to be carpet. We had 2 options: Emergency surgery, or putting our baby down. Thanks to Healthy Paws and their fantastic coverage (90%), we were able to opt for surgery. The total bill was $3973. We had made a prior claim, so our paperwork was processed and reimbursement of about $3500 was approved and mailed in less than 24 hours. On top of their fantastic customer service, they also emailed me today to see how he was doing. It's a wonderful feeling to know your dog is in good hands, and we will never insure Khan with anyone but Healthy Paws.

Trupanion claim experience
We lost our only two dogs this past year. Decided to insure our puppy for many reasons. One of them being to be sure if something went wrong with her, she could get the care she needed. Especially being we still have thousands of dollars of vet bills to pay off for our two that we lost. After a little research, we opted for a policy with Trupanion. Our puppy is 7 months old. She very acutely started squinting in her left eye. It would tear up and became very red and inflammed. It looked very uncomfortable. We got her into a specialist quickly. I got the pre-approval from Trupanion quickly and got her scheduled for surgery. This wasn't an emergency but was time sensitive. She was uncomfortable and it could've progressed to an ulcer if left untreated. Trupanion updated me via email about receiving documents, and when/if they needed further information. The day after her surgery they emailed that her payment for her claim is being processed and would be in our checking account within a week. At the very beginning of all of this I called in to get preliminary information on what to do. The lady I spoke with was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I feel like I am going on and on but the entire experience was easy, didn't take too long, and really took the stress off. It has been a hard year as far as loss in our home and having the insurance and their excellent customer service really helped get us all through it! btw...Clementine has instant relief from surgery and is doing great. :)

Exceeded my expectations.
I'm gonna have to rate Embrace at a 10. Embrace has covered everything they said they would. i have had to file 11 claims so far. not one issue. they process the claim rather quickly. 1-2 weeks and i have my check. i have used other companies before with previous pets and, Embrace has by far exceeded my expectations. one thing to point out. i mailed my claims in, but if you fax them it will be much faster. about a week. keep copies of the claim form in your cars so the vet can fill them out right away. i very rarely write reviews, but Embrace has earned it, 100% satisfied.

My 2 year old Yorky
My Yorkshire Terrier called Mimi is now 2 years old. During the past years she has suffered with some minor but annoying clinical problems, such congestion, skin complaints after walking into some grass that was obviously sprayed with some insecticides that was not pet friendly. She has developed some asthmatic problems mostly allergy related. However, apart from additional health issues that I have not mentioned all these visits to the Vet are costly. Vets have no conscience when charging for medical assistance and I would like to say that instead of following a legal career I should have become a DVM. Embrace have always paid for the care as per our insurance policy guidelines and for that I am extremely happy and appreciative that they honor their obligations without question. Even though my Vet is outstanding and discount me because as I am a frequent visitor to their medical office, I still believe its a good cash business for them. So in short, I have a good DVM to go to and I have a good insurance provider and Embrace should be rated as one of he best companies to provide insurance coverage for pets; all creatures great and small.

I purchased embrace pet insurance for both of my English bulldogs when they were eight weeks old. I can honestly say it was the best investment I have every made. English bulldogs are great dogs but they can be like old men from time to time.Having pet insurance provides great piece of mind. I ask the vet to fax a copy of the bill to embrace then I receive a check minus the deductible 7-10 days later. The policy has paid for itself time and time again.You will not regret purchasing insurance to offset the expense of the vets bills.
