Scottish Terrier Torn ACL Surgery
We came home from work 6 weeks ago to find our 4-year-old Scottish Terrier unable to put any weight on his back left leg. Following an immediate visit to the vet, he had completely ruptured his ACL and required surgery to repair it. He had the surgery 3 days later and I faxed my pre-certification and claim forms to Embrace. I received an initial email following receipt of the claim that indicated it would take 5-10 business days to review and pay the claim. Unfortunately for me, Embrace had just instituted a new computer system and it took a lot of follow up on my part and the final claim payout took about 30 days. I am hopeful to have a smoother experience. Overall, Embrace does have good customer service once I was able to reach them.

I am so thankful to have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for our young Golden Retriever, who at 11 months was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia and required surgery. Healthy Paws paid our claim for the elbow surgery without any problems. I do not know how we would have been able to afford the over $6000 surgery without Healthy Paws insurance. Not only did they cover this condition (which most companies will not, because some consider it a genetic condition), but they make the claims process incredibly easy. I simply upload a JPEG of the invoice, and they send a reimbursement check. I have recommended Healthy Paws to everyone I know with a pet! Thank you Healthy Paws!

We needed the best and found the best!
Bear was diagnosed with pancreatitis and extreme intestinal inflammation. Needless to say we were extremely concerned. He had to be hospitalized for 4 days and during that time the vet performed treatments to flush his stomach, intestines and colon. His very serious condition was treated and all went well. Bear is back to his bouncy happy self! Again Healthy Paws helped to ease our hearts and bring peace of mind during a traumatic and stressful experience. Healthy Paws reimbursed us within one week and covered 90% of the cost as per our package. More than the prompt processing of our claim is the heartwarming words we receive from Healthy Paws. A representative emailed to inquire about Bear's well being and wished him a speedy recovery. Healthy Paws have proved they care about our babies. They even wish our Boone and Bear birthday wishes! Our 10 year old otherwise healthy and happy shih Tzu had a seizure and began acting very lethargic. Our primary vet referred us to a specialist that was able to diagnose her problem and get her on an appropriate treatment plan. Healthy Paws Insurance gave us assurance as we made decisions for our sweet little shih Tzu. Today, McKenzie is getting more active and has been seizure free, we are very happy to have made the switch from another insurance carrier. excellant service - worth the price
My cat was at the vet and I was told she needed hospitalization. I called Trupanion to find out if she was covered. The staff at Trupanion immediately worked with the hospital staff to get the treatment plan pre-approved and paid the veterinary hospital directly. All I had to pay was my portion of the bill. If I had to pay the entire bill and wait to be reimbursed, my cat would not have been able to get the treatment she needed. Thank You Trupanion!
