Best Insurance for a Vizsla or Dog Owner
My Vizsla had a Injury at 5 months and needed Xrays under Anesthesia, MRI and finally surgery - ACL Tear 10% and Long Digital Extenser Tendent was unattached from Knee.After surgery we did Cold Laser and Physical Therapy for months. All was covered but Office Visits. Yeah we are lucky!!!

Possible NSAID overdose
We thought Daphne may have gotten hold of some very out of date Rimadyl. The vet said she was fine, and the claim for her care was honored. The changes to the website and how claims being handled appeared on our end was a little confusing but we are confident it will all work out just fine once the system is completely up and running. That is the reason why it's not a 10.

This pet insurance company works
Easy Claims form, continuous communication through the claims to payment process and timely payment. My pug had a couple of issues this past year from illness to injury and they covered most of what I payed the vet after the deductible. My only issue with them is that they don't cover vaccinations.

Insuring your dog is a must!
Keeping the rising costs of Veterinarian bills in perspective and considering health issues that could arise with this breed and all purebreds, the wisest thing we ever did was to insure our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as puppies with Healthy Paws Insurance. With dogs you never know what can happen regarding their health! One recently had a costly emergency surgery for an obstruction (acorn lodged in small intestine). Healthy Paws was prompt, kind and sympathetic to our needs. Coverage was completed quickly and efficiently. Having our dogs insured by this company gives us the security we need to face other health issues if they should occur. We will seek care and advice from specialists when needed. I recommend this company highly if your pets are family and deserve the best care throughout their lives.

Severe choking episode.
As a veterinarian, many may think it strange that I carry insurance on my 3 companions. It was a great relief knowing I had this insurance when at 9P one night my 8 y.o. Corgi lodged her rawhide chew in her trachea. Efforts to remove it myself resulted in a bite wound to myself and a worsening of her condition. I then drove her quickly to the nearby pet emergency as the time to call in my own staff would have been excessive. In the end, the skill level this facility provided was essentially for saving her life. It was a comfort knowing that I would not have to make any choices in her care...she received the best thanks to Trupanion!

An Amazing Surprise
Through my life I have had several pets. I have never had pet insurance. Mikka, my dog, is still in the puppy stage of her life and is very adventurous. She gets into everything. When she chewed into a bottle of Ibuprofen I thought we would lose her just because of the cost of medical care. I had forgotten I had purchased HealthPaws Insurance. When I purchased the insurance I was concerned that like most insurance companies it was all about collecting the premiums and not paying the claims. When I remembered I had purchased HealthyPaws Insurance I went online expecting to have to fill out a confusing claim form. Mail the form in with all the reports and then wait 6-8 weeks for processing only to receive a small reimbursement if I got anything. I just knew it would be a pointless endeavor. To my surprise it was easy to submit the claim online. No claim form. Just send the invoice along with medical reports explaining the event. On receipt of the claim HealthyPaws notified me by email they had received the information and would be processing the claim right away. I thought okay this is where the long waiting period comes in. Not so. Within two days I received notification that the claim was reviewed, what was being paid and that a check would be sent shortly. At this writing, 11-25-14, I have not received payment. However, Mikka's claim was submitted on Wednesday, 11-18-14 and completed by Friday, 11-21-14. It hasn't been long enough to get payment. I am so thankful I discovered HealthyPaws. Mikka is too. What a wonderful surprise and reconfirmation there are still companies in the world that aren't out to take your money and run. Customer service is their asset and they provide it with their ease of claim submission, their availibility when you contact them and the timely processing of your claim. Good job HealthyPaws. Thank you again.

Superb
At first,I was hesitant about getting pet insurance. Then USAA recommended Embrace. I opened a policy with them for our first dog. I filed a claim and was ready to wait 2 weeks, but it didn't take embrace that ling. I still have a policy with them and would not give it up for anything pet related. I rate Embrace a 10 because 100000 is not available. They go out of their way to ensure their costumers are satisfied. They are more about quality rather than quantity. Embrace your are truly the best at what you do.

Will never have another pet without insurance. My Mosie developed a blood clot, had to be put in intensive care shortly after purchasing the insurance. He ended up dying. They paid for everything including the cremation. My Kali has a problem with her eyes and the drops are very expensive. She will be 18 soon and has had problems that come with aging. They have paid for everything, and make having a senior dog so much easier. One of the best things that I have ever done. They're wonderful!!!!

I recommend healthy paws to any dog owner. We have four dogs and have had them all insured since they were rescued. Healthy paws is completely transparent. If they say they cover it, they do. It is so refreshing to get what you pay for!! They have exceeded our expectations. It's easy to file claims, they are super fast to respond and the checks are issued just as fast. Sometimes we expect got them to omit coverage or simply tell us "your meds are no longer covered." NOPE. They keep providing the same great coverage. Even when the wounds are self inflicted (like from a recent dog fight). They covered, exactly as they said they would. We recommend healthy paws to everyone.
