Wonderful Company!
I am so thankful that I purchased Healthy Paws Insurance! I have had 3 Golden Retrievers in my life and learned the hard way with my last Golden the importance of carrying pet insurance on our loved ones when she became ill from consuming the chicken jerky treats that were produced in China. Sadly, we lost her a year ago. We purchased a puppy in July of this year and I selected Healthy Paws after reading the reviews. To be honest I was skeptical but I have been so pleased with the company. My new puppy has had on-going Urinary Tract Infections and in the process of diagnosing her problems the vet bills started to climb! I can't tell you how many times I have said to friends and family that I am so thankful that I purchased pet insurance with this company. They are efficient in processing claims, are personable and professional. I can truly say they have got to be the best insurance out there!!! Thank you for everything you have done for Lacey and our family!!

Simple Benefits and Claim Process
I enjoy the simplicity of the coverage and "deductible" details. I would like more options, maybe with different limits like other carriers because I think it's a little more expensive but then that's the trade off between no payout limits. I have had multiple claims and the process was simple and within acceptable time frames.

I recommend this insurance to my friends.
I've had two dogs insured. Duncan had an intestinal/ bacterial infection on Christmas day, and had to go to the emergency veterinary hospital. Thankfully a large portion of his treatment and overnight stay was covered. When he was diagnosed with melanoma, again they covered a good portion of his treatment. Oscar was bitten in the park, and it covered his needed stitches. It is easy to submit a claim online, and they communicate well and send a check promptly.

Excellent Customer Service
We just completed a claim with Healthy Paws for an emergency operation for our 8 month old chocolate lab. She had a piece of a chew rope stuck in her tummy and it rotted away about 5 inches of intestine. Honestly, I expected reimbursement to be a bit of a battle. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The claim process was easy, customer service was not only friendly and helpful, but genuinely concerned about the health of my lab baby. We received the claim in about a week. I would highly recommend pet insurance by Healthy Paws!

Unfortunate surprise from Embrace
I had Embrace cover all 3 of my pets for over 2 years. I filed a claim when I had to take one of my cats in for a urinary tract issue. It took a few months for my claim to be processed and when I finally contacted them about it, they needed more medical records regarding both cats. After several weeks, I contacted them again and my claim was denied. The OTHER cat had been vaccinated for FIV and had the antibodies in his system. I had documentation that showed he had indeed been vaccinated. Apparently, this was considered a pre-existing condition and Embrace couldn't be sure that he didn't actually have FIV. And FIV is contagious, and the cat with the urinary tract issue could have had that problem due to the FIV that the other cat MAY have. Bottom line, the claim was denied. They then cancelled the portion of my insurance dealing with health issues, but left intact the accident part of the insurance. To their credit, they did refund the portion of the insurance I paid that dealt with health issues. I decided to cancel all of it because my boys are indoor, and although they can still have accidents, I would probably be better off just paying out of pocket. Any other health issues are not covered anyway. So no cancer, diabetes, thyroid, etc...

Easy claim filing and rapid payment
I've had Pets' Best for about four years, and among other miscellaneous claims have had to cruciate ligament claims. Both were honored per the disclosure, direct-deposit payments were fast, and claims were easy (and got even easier with the second injury, via simple on-line form submittable). I have not had pet insurance with another company, so I can't offer a first-hand comparison, but I also haven't wanted to go to another insurer. For what it's worth, a coworker had originally recommended Pets' Best to me, based on his good experiences.
