I am somewhat confused this year

I am somewhat confused this year, since I am now paying in two different places for my yearly pet insurance. The coverage for the wellness exam went through fine in February, but my understanding that the Rx is now covered by the other $200. + of the second part of my plan this year. I am forwarding Beau's RX receipt today.

Not a fan

I initially signed up for nationwide 3 days after adopting a shelter dog. After his 1st meal at my house he had diarrhea. The next day it was gone. Shelters records made no mention of any diarrhea. His diarrhea was gone the next day, therefore I chalked it off to change in diet from food at the shelter. WELL, nationwide wanted to exclude any gastric issues from his policy for 1 day of diarrhea. They said at 6 months I could submit a YEAR'S worth of medical records to get the exclusion removed. Obviously no one had a years worth of records on this shelter dog. On top of the exclusion, there's no decrease in price despite covering less. I felt nationwide was just a complete rip off and canceled the policy.

I called to understand several things…

I called to understand several things before making a claim. I was impressed with Don's sincere tone and personality as we discussed several upcoming submissions I plan to make. He answered all my questions with the confidence that reassured me.

Recommend Embrace Pet Insurance

I highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance. This is my 3rd year with them, have never had any issues when submitting a claim. They have covered exactly what was promised, and never wait long for my refund. No more worrying about large emergency bills if my Charley is in need of care. It's definitely worth it for peace-of mind. Very happy with Embrace Pet Insurance!

Dishonest Denial: Citing Unrelated Incidents as Pre-Existing Conditions

1. We got my dog three years ago, and when he was a baby he ate some trash and threw up, so we took him for a quick vet visit that lasted maybe 30min. 2. We signed up for Pets Best 2 years ago. 3. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with a genetic immune system disease that affects his bowels, and he will need to be on immunosuppressants and other medications permanently. Pets Best denied over 30k in claims relating to this illness because of the emergency vet appt. 3 years ago, citing that he "had pre-existing conditions relating to his bowels." While I now know that Pets Best team is dishonest and fraudulent, I am hesitant to switch insurance providers because now he definitely would be entering a new insurance company with a pre-existing condition.

neutering and spaying lower reimbursement

Just got puppy Disappointing to find out you have lowered the reimbursement for spaying and neutering. I would think as a health care insurance company for animals. The one thing you would push is make affordable for people on your policy (whether it’s the first tier or a higher tier like we have) is reimbursing a better rate$$$$$ for spaying and neutering. Our vet charges over $500 and you portion should cover more.

An Excellent Enrollment Experience

My review is based on an enrollment call with Steffie. She was very helpful, informative, and a pure delight to speak to. I did a lot of research on insurance plans, and the features of this insurance sounded very good. Steffie took the time to patiently explain anything I didn't understand. She made the process easy and painless!
