Thank Goodness For VPI
We had just gotten a new puppy and got her insurance and never had insurance on our older dog so we got him insurance at the same time. Thank goodness! About a month after he ended up having to have 3 herniated discs repaired. At first I didn't think they would cover any of it because we were a brand new customer, so I called and they said they covered so much of the MRI, hospitalization, surgery, labs etc. and I thought hmmmm We will see after the claim is filed and we get it back. Wow was I impressed. The bill for everything was over $7,000.00 and the reimbursed us over $4500.00 of it, I was so impressed. They continue to impress me with their handling of claims. Wish I would have invested sooner. It is a godsend. Searched around other insurers and VPI was the best as far as coverage and price. Love them!

Not what I expected...
Unfortunately my experience Embrace was not the best. I had two claims denaid and I was not satisfied with the customer service I was provided on several calls. I have a cat who I take regularly to the doctor for the same reason, and for that matter they denied my claims, after they explained to me that my cat could have developed a chronic condition, and that they will not cover that, I decided to cancel my policy.

Great Compnay
Healthy Paws delivers as advertised and turned out to be better than expected. The employees of Healthy Paws were always extremely professional, friendly, helpful, and appeared to be very understanding to the client / pet situation. Their on-line and app sites are easy to work with and the company quickly communicates back to customer in easy to understand language. Claims Service was super fast. Why can't my Health Care service be this good?

Pogo's Adventure with Rimadyl
Zippy is 15 and takes Rimadyl, a chewable NSAID drug that helps with her arthritic old bones. We split the pills, about 60 days worth, on the kitchen table. Pogo, our 14 month, and the guy who's insured, is agile and inquisitive, and can leap to places I wouldn't have believed possible. I left the room for a puppy second and Pogo helped himself to a few of the tablets. We rushed Pogo to the vet, worried sick (and feeling plenty guilty). He made a full recovery, though he was miffed with spending the night hooked up to an IV and insulted with a catheter stuck up his you-know-what. Here's my lesson: Always push the chairs in when leaving the table. And never leave unguarded, about-to-be-split, Rimadyl on the kitchen table while a unmonitored puppy is in the area! The other good news is that we purchased HealthyPaws insurance. This is our fourth claim (all the others were minor stuff, I assure you). The reimbursement check arrived quickly. Our experience with HealthyPaws has been surprisingly positive and hassle-free.

I love this company!
These people are terrific! With my previous dog, I had a policy from a different, much larger, well-known company, and it seemed that every time I summited a claim, they found a reason not cover it, or to cover only a small portion of it. Healthy Paws is the opposite. They have never questioned a single claim -- they cover everything that the policy says it will. I live in the NYC area, where veterinary fees are among the highest in the country and they have never once questioned a cost. Plus, the submission process couldn't be easier -- I take a photo of the vet bill on my phone using their app, hit "send," and a week later a check is in my hands. My only complaint is that they don't offer health insurance for humans ;-) Seriously -- I cannot recommend these people more highly!

Petshealth insurance has been a blessing!
I first purchased pet insurance after I spent $700+ at the emergency vet when my dog was a puppy and ate some flowers that made him sick. Since then, in addition to normal care, it's been there through kidney stones, kidney infection and bladder infection at the same time and - most recently - meds, exams and surgery related to his eating a rock. I love that the deductible is $100/yr instead of a per-visit deductible. Submission for reimbursement is easy claim processing is fairly quick. Having the insurance provides such peace of mind that I'll never be without it again.

Claims handling with Compasion
Best money I ever spent on any kind of insurance. Health, home, auto, life or disability for humans. This company treats your pet as a valued client and better than some insurers treat human clients. Claims paid promptly and fairly always. President Obama should have worked with Trupanion in designing a health insurance program for humans. I am sure if that had been done there would be a lot more happy active stock and politicians. These people have it right and down to a science.
