We have never carried pet insurance on previous pets. After thousands of dollars in veterinary expenses and losing our beloved dog to his illnesses, our vet encouraged us to obtain a policy with Trupanion when we adopted a new mixed breed puppy almost 4 years ago. Our new pup was generally healthy the first 3 years of his life, but acquired a Canine Papilloma virus this year. His case was unique and severe and required several surgeries and a new vaccine created by Georgetown University. Our veterinary office filed all of the claims on our behalf at each visit. All of the claims related to this painful and disfiguring condition were approved and paid directly to the veterinary office (thereby reducing my out-of-pocket expense). It's so much easier to pay the monthly premium, than face a veterinary bill for several thousand dollars (more than once!). Having this coverage has saved us money and allowed us to make these medical decisions easily for our four-legged family member. I can't say enough great things about Trupanion and encourage all of my friends to consider covering their furry friends.

An insurance company with a heart
I can't say enough about my experience with Embrace. The customer service is stellar and everyone there seems to truly care about the people and pets they serve. Unfortunately, this year my little guy, Bodhi, has had his fair share of vet visits. Most recently, he had an unpleasant reaction to a vaccine. My claims adjuster, Amanda, was absolutely incredible. She kept me abreast of everything that was happening and went above and beyond to ensure my claim-filing experience was as hassle-free as possible. When some clarification was needed regarding the vet's diagnosis to fully process my claim, she contacted him personally to ensure she had all the details she needed to keep things moving forward. Embrace is one of the best investments I've ever made.

Embrace saved my dog
My wonderful dog has been insured with Embrace since we got him. After 6 years, he had his first illness/accident claim and it was a big one. Embrace was with me every step of the way from my first phone call to getting the claim paid. They offered to help the vets file the claims and they even checked on me and my dog a week later. Without this policy, I'm not sure I could have spent the money to save my dog.

Superb
Having had sick dogs and high vet bills in the past, I bought insurance for this dog on the theory that carrying an umbrella keeps away the rain. Alas, this dog too has had to deal with a series of illnesses, including allergies and infections. Embrace has covered claims promptly and cheerfully every time without question. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Best decision we could have made
We signed up with Healthy Paws right after adopting our dog. She's a ball of energy so her vet recommended that we get insurance. We're so glad that we did! She ruptured her ACL and needed surgery. Surgery for dogs is expensive! Healthy Paws did not give us the run around or try to deny coverage and processed our claim quickly. Their website is pretty clear about what is covered and their cusomer service agents are very knowledgable. I have their iphone app and it makes filing claims easy. Even after paying the claim, a Healhy Paws representative emailed us to make sure our little girl was recovering well.

Always Extremely Impressed & Grateful
From day one with Embrace, I have been shocked over and over, always in a great way. You always expect insurance companies, especially with pet insurance, to be sneaky and to use all their power to make paying claims difficult. Every single time I make a decision for my pets, I make it knowing Embrace has their back. I literally tell everyone I know about how amazing you all are, almost everyday. The entire vet staff now backs you guys, and the peace of mind you give my family and I is just priceless. We lost my 8 year old Bearded Collie last week to a surprise cancer diagnoses. It was crushing of course, but going in, we knew, if there was a way to treat him, we would be able to do it, only because of Embrace. We are so thankful over and over again for your wonderful customer service, caring and compassionate staff and your efforts to make claim submissions and coverage easy, quick and painless.
