Anyone looking for pet insurance should seriously consider Embrace. It's reasonably priced and you get to customize your plan to include or not include "wellness". I've included "wellness" which more than pays for itself just getting the preventative prescriptions for heart worm and ticks. They let you know as soon as they receive a claim then communicate status very promptly. Couldn't feel better about this plan.

Don't waste your time and money
Adopted a pet from a shelter - he came with the Trupanion 30 day free trial. Upon our initial vet visit he was determined to need nasal surgery as a result of dental extractions performed by the shelter. Trupanion denied any coverage as it's a "preexisting condition". I will never do business with them.

I've had pet insurance with ASPCA for 12 years and it was one of the best decisions for Bailey. He is a Lab with a curious sense of adventure and appetite. He recently decided to eat some unsavory items which left him with diarrhea. He is back to himself now and we are always happy to receive some form of reimbursement in the mail - it's nice that ASPCA calls to check up on him too.
