Great service and assistance on claim
We had an unfortunate incident with our puppy ate something dangerous to her. Since it was a weekend, we knew immediately we had to bring her to the emergency clinic. At the time I was of course more worried about our dog than the cost however while waiting I couldn't help but wonder and hope our pet insurance would cover this significant cost. I was very pleased that it did and that the claim was easy to fill out at the vet. When I followed up via email the responses were within minutes or hours. There was very little I had to do to put the claim through and the cheque was mailed quickly. When I called PetsPlusUS recently the let me know that I could provide banking information so I wouldn't have to wait for a cheque if there was another claim - very convenient. The only thing I could say to improve would be to have an online portal for claims, however with the great customer service it wasn't a huge issue. Overall very happy so far!!

Nationwide is great
I got Nationwide insurance for my dog when she was a puppy. We’ve had years when she rarely saw the vet and years where we would have had to omit some treatment due to the cost if I didn’t have insurance. The claims are processed quickly and easily with the app and I am completely satisfied. I tell all new dog owners to get Nationwide,

Happy with coverage
I bought ASPCA pet insurance for my 3 rescue dogs last year. It has been a very positive experience for me so far. I was not expecting to need to use it so soon or so often. My hound mix has had skin and ear issues among other things. After meeting the deductible ASPCA has paid all claims with no problems. My bulldog mix tested positive for heartworm, and again after deductible all claims for his treatment have been paid. Most claims have been paid within a week, there was one that took several weeks. ASPCA pet insurance bases their rates on breed as well as age and the rate for my bulldog was almost twice as much as for my hound dog even though the hound is a year older. Overall I am very happy with my choice and will continue to use ASPCA pet insurance

Happy customer
I have a one year old Yorkie, he is adorable but a monster. He is very active and likes to chew everything. I purchased AKC Pet Insurance for him when he was just 3 months old and I am glad I chose AKC. They are very helpful, professional and pleasant. I have had two claims since purchasing the policy. I could not be happier with their responsiveness and quick to pay process. If you do not have pet insurance I highly recommend you give AKC Pet Insurance a call and you will understand why I am so happy with them.

“Exam” Not Covered
I bought a Trupanion policy when my golden was 1. A friend had recommended your company after you quickly paid a claim arising from an accidental that befell his dog. My now almost five years old golden was diagnosed with. lymphoma one month ago. He is under the care of a terrific oncologist in Grand Rapids . The treatment protocol calls for weekly injections or pills followed by biweekly injections or pills. At each visit, the oncologist, of course, must examine our dog to determine how he is responding to the treatment; e.g. are his lymph nodes still enlarged. This is an obvious and necessary part of treating any disease but you choose to deny reimbursement of this element of the treatment simply because it’s coded as “exam”. I think this is wrong and petty. I get the denial of a routine physical exam, but this is anything but that; it is a critical part of the treatment of a very serious illness and you should pay the claim for it.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM ASPCA
ALOT OF THINGS ARE CONSIDERED PREEXISTING THAT I DID NOT FORSEE AND THERFORE NOT COVERED. ALSO HUGE HIKE IN PREMIUM WITH NO EXPLANATION. WHEN I CALLED AND SAID I WAS A SENIOR ON FIXED INCOME, NO SYMPATHY. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED DEALING WITH ASPCA.
