As a customer

As a customer, they literally did everything they could to make it difficult to contact them to resolve any issues. They specifically created a portal system, so that you can't talk to anyone. And you have to type out ALL of your issues or inquiries. So if you do have an issue, They turn you into a novel writer, just to solve an issue. Also they've been charging me for my dead dog, even after the policy was canceled, i'm trying to reach out to them for resolution, and yes, they are making it impossible to resolve the situation.

I didn't need SPOT until my dog's leg was injured. And then it was a flurry of visits, X-rays, and medications. SPOT processed my claims and paid quickly. In addition, I received an EOB for each claim explaining how they arrived at the payment.

My cat had a bladder infectio

My cat had a bladder infection and needed blood tests and medication. I uploaded the detailed bill to MetLife and it wasn't very long before I got reimbursed. There were no hoops to jump through. Thank you.

Healthy Paws is the best!

I've had Healthy Paws insurance since we adopted our dog, Brownie, when she was just two months old. She's been a healthy dog for the most part, but she already had to have two different surgeries (one to fix her incontinence and one knee surgery). I submitted the claims to Healthy Paws with not a lot of expectations, as the surgeries were expensive and we all know how insurance companies are always trying to not pay. Healthy Paws approved the claims in less than a week with no problem. They even send me emails asking how Brownie was doing after the surgeries!

Agent was very professional and friendly. We also chatted a little bit about my new pet, that made the conversation more helpful and personal.

We have had insurance for 2 years

We have had insurance for 2 years. In the beginning the payments were super quick. Then it was super slow. The last few claims we have submitted have paid faster, but not like in the beginning. That is why I did 4 stars.

Expect ALL claims to be denied

A puppy cannot have a preexisting condition. It's a puppy. We literally got our puppy at 8 weeks old and got insurance a month later. It's a healthy little puppy. Moreover, "diarrhea" is not a preexisting condition. It's a "symptom" and it's "caused" from different conditions!! I guess "bleeding" is a preexisting condition too. The good reviews of SPOT must be fake. Sort by one star and do your research there. Every claim you have will be denied.
