My dog got a bacteria called pseudomonas, it is the most resistant to antibiotics. It comes from dirt this then caused him to have bronchitis and Embrace declared it was genetic and paid $63, out of $3000 in bills. I had bronchitis every spring as a kid it was not genetic and it went away. I am considering if I need insurance.I'm not a happy client, I feel deceived. I figure if he breaks his leg they will find some way to declare that a genetic disease.

Our dog is our baby. She has had pet insurance since a pup and is 3.5 years old now. She was always healthy until an acute illness this year. We had switched to Embrace because our old insurance made unilateral decisions on what claim payouts should be based on (their own cost chart versus what the vet actually charges customers for services). This was frustrating and costly to us. Embrace covered 90% of the actual vet cost when they processed our claims. No hassels. And they cared enough to ask after our dog and the progress of how she was doing. Their professionalism and courteousness was refreshing. In the end our dog's well being is all we care about and after many tests and a surgery she is now back to being healthy and playful. However, it's nice to know that Embrace gives great coverage and works with you from start to finish of the claim process and that. My sole warning to new Embrace customers is that upon your first claim, Embrace will ask for the last 2 years of health history (veterinary medical records) of your pet to rule out pre-existing conditions. Something I feel should have been made clear up front when purchasing the policy. Because of this review process; your first claim will take a little longer to process than you might expect. The good news is that they stay in communication with you the entire duration of the process until claim payout is made. You'll love Embrace. Our normally very healthy and active 1 1/2 year old English Bulldog, Dawkins, became very ill with Bronchial Pneumonia and Valley Fever.I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful the staff at Trupanion has been. They made a nightmare for my husband and I so much easier to deal with. They kept us updated on claims and paid when they stated that they would. They went above and beyond the call of duty. My husband, Mark, andI have been recommending Trupanion to all of my friends and stressing how important pet insuance is as well as with who you obtain your pet insurance from. Dawkins is doing much better and we are hoping for a full recovery. I have even addred Trupanion as my Facebook Friend.

I purchased an insurance policy from Embrace a year ago, but was unable to make any comment at that time because I did not need it for my dog. This year Embrace offered a wellness program which I did sign up for. After taking my dog, Lucy, to the vet for her yearly checkup and dental cleaning, I was easily over the $200 maximum for payment. I submitted the bills by fax and was notified the same day of acceptance by return e-mail. The check for $200 was mailed to me and I received it the next week. How's that for service!

My cat had a laceration that became abcessed in May. She was hot and lethargic on a Friday night so I had to seek urgent care which was 3 times the cost of my regular vet. I submited the claims and only 50% was covered because they were based on their charts which are rediculously low and/or outdated. DONT get this insurance. Policy also states it won't cover pre-existing conditions within 90 days. I brought my cat in 6 months later for a 2nd UTI and they called it pre-existing despite the "90" days in black & white. Only interested in the money not your pet. I urge you seek another company!

In August my 12 year old cat became infected with T. foetus, he was very ill for several weeks before the eventual diagnosis. His vets bills escalated as he required SQ fluids, X-rays, blood tests and liver and thyroid function tests. This was the first claim I had submitted for my cat in the 3-4 years I have had him insured with Petsecure. I sent the relevant paperwork in with a slight degree of uncertainty as to whether I would hit the usual "insurance company brick wall". I need not have worried, Petsecure paid the full amount I claimed for (which was total cost of treatment minus deductible and co-insurance) within 7 business days. No questions asked. My cat is slowly getting back to his old self, he has follow tests scheduled shortly and I am confident these too will be covered by Petsecure. The name says it all, you're pet really is secure with this company!

I cannot say enough about how much I like this company. We had a bit of information missing when we filed our claim and Embrace took it upon themselves to call the vets' offices to get it. From that point Carrie, from Embrace, kept us informed all along the way. She was wonderful. We are planning to get another pet within the next few months and will use Embrace for our pet insurance carrier.

I had a 4 month old toy poodle who suddenly became sick and was diagnosed with liver failure, cause unknown. Unfortunately, she passed on 3 days later. The claim was submitted by the veterinarian and within 5 days, I was notified the claim had been approved and the check was on its way via Fed-Ex. My daughter gave me another 10 week old puppy and I immediately signed her up with Trupanion. The people at Trupanion were so kind and helpful, and I couldn't be happier.
