I was so skeptical about Pet Insurance, (my husband said-SCAM!) but upon purchasing my Doberman from a breeder, I wondered if I could afford to take care of him if something went terribly wrong, after spending so much money to initially buy him. On top of that, one of the other "new puppy parents" was talking about how this was his 10th Doberman, and how one of his former dogs they called the $10,000 money pit, because he ate everything from pantyhose to socks and had to have multiple surgeries. With this story in the back of my mind, I researched and researced, and decided Embrace was going to be the best choice of coverage for me. Little did I know, that after having Bosco for only a month, he would =swallow a large piece of palm bark and require emergency surgery...to the tune of $2900.00. Now I REALLY prayed that Embrace would come thru for me and that I really WOULD be reimbursed-or if my husband was right, and it was a scam. After filing my claim, and receiving email responses right away, I was reimbursed exactly what I was hoping would be covered. I ended up with 1/3 of the bill, and had only made one months payment! I have definitely recommended Embrace to all of my friends now. Don't worry-you'll be glad you have it if God forbid, you ever need it!

We have 2 German Shepherds covered by Embrace. We have always been very pleased with the services covered by Embrace - not to mention the super customer service. We plan to keep our coverage for a long time!

I have a 8 year old Yorkie who has had no health problems. I purchased insurance over the years from two different pet insurance companies and have had nothing but problems. With bogus payouts that were not even worth my time of submitting the claim to the most rudest employees i have ever dealth with. A friend gave me Pets Best insurance and i figured what could i loose i will try them. Well after being with Pets best for 4 months my little yorkie got sick. Unknown what was making him vomit, itch and be very lathargic. The bills kept adding up along with the hospital stays for him and all the testing. After changing vets multiply times they finally found it was a parasite. My bills were up in the $4000.00. Now it was time to see if this Pets Best insurance really would do what they said it would. I downloaded the form, coompleted it and faxed it to the number on the form. 3 HOURS Later I had a confirmation saying that my claim was being reviewed. Two days later an email saying that they needed to get some more records and by the 5th day a check for 80% was sent to me. YES THATS WHAT I SAID 80%. They covered exactly what they said they would with no hidden clauses (about up 80% of the allowable cost) The Customer Service people are so nice and very helpful. One employee is nicer then the other. I have called and asked questions and they are always willing to go above and beyond to help me. WHAT A GREAT PET INSURANCE place this is. Do not go anywhere else f

I recommend for everyone to look into pet insurance before they even purchase a pet. I waited a couple of months before I got it and now I wish I hadn't waited. I did not anticipate all the problems with my Pico but my pet insurance sure has helped tremendously lighten the load.

I had been using the AKC Pet Healthcare Plan since I first got my dog in April 2006. Every year I experienced an acceptable increase in the monthly premium as one would expect to incur. The normal increase was between $5-$10 per month year to year. Yesterday I receive my renewal notice from AKC PHP and they want to increase my monthly premium by almost 85%. They expect me to accept a rate increase from %75.00 per month to $138.00 per month. Needless to say, I am looking for a new carrier and would not recommend the AKC plan due to this unnacceptable increase.

I have had my dog insured for about a year with Embrace. They have paid most claims to my satisfaction, most importantly I have noticed that they are fair and transparent in making their decisions. I shopped around and did my research. I found that Embrace was one of the only companies that had favorable pre-existing condition provisions. This is extremely helpful for those of us that rescued our pets or got them later in their life. The representatives are extremely responsive and really take their jobs seriously. You can tell that they love animals. I also like that they email you when they have received a claim and keep you informed of the claim status throughout the process.

Trupanion Pet Insurance is the best choice I have ever made. My 12 year old greyhound was diagnosed with splenic hemangiosarcoma and had to have surgery to remove a mass and her spleen. She is currently undergoing a round of chemotherapy treatments. We have finished the second treatment and she is doing amazing! And the best part is that because of Trupanion, I can spend my time focusing on my precious Sweetie Pie, and not worrying about "the money"! Trupanion has quickly and effeciently paid each and every claim I have submitted to them! It has been a true lifesaver having this insurance. I can't recommend it more. I am telling all my friends and family to get on board! You will never be sorry you got insurance, only sorry you didn't! Trupanion has made this horrible time a whole lot easier to bear for my family. I will have Trupanion Pet Insurance on all my animals from now on. No question. Trupanion Rocks!

I have been on the fence on whether Pet Insurance was worth the price. For years I didn't invest in it because I couldn't find a company that would cover breed specific ailments and I figured they are called breed specific because there's a high probability your dog will suffer from such an ailment. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Embrace covered breed specific diseases and also pleased that they also had a wellness program. Yes they are a little pricier but their coverage is also better. I read wonderful reviews about this company and that was the deciding factor. Embrace keeps their word and they are very up front and they customer service is top notch. The peace of mind is worth every penny.
