I have only had Embrace for a couple of months, but so far very pleased. My dog has an issue with his ear and originally Embrace denied the claim as a preexisting condition. My vet was able to write a letter explaining how this issue differed from his previous one and they allowed the claim. Usually an appeals process with an insurance company is a frustrating and stressful experience. Not so here. The claims department kept me continually updated by email; they did not make me feel like I was trying to get something past them (as so many people insurance companies do when you appeal a claim); they promptly reviewed my claim; and provided full and accurate details about what charges were covered as well remaining deductible and copays. This is my first time using them, but so far I am impressed.

We have had insurance with Embrace for our Lab, Tyson, since we brought him home. We have always had great customer service, with prompt action and very friendly, knowledgeable representatives taking our calls.

We purchased Annie, our Golden Retriever, about 3 years ago. We were concerned about possible hip displacia, a common occurrence with the breed. We have never had pet insurance and thought this a good time to try. Well, we haven't had hip displacia but she has had a ruptured ACL, separately on both back legs requiring operations and therapy involving thousands of dollars. Embrace has accepted all of our claims speedily, without complaint and has demonstrated real interest in Annie's recovery. We are well pleased with Embrace and have recommended them anyone who has an interest

Once the claim was processed, I was pleased to discover that Trupanion paid 90% of the charges associated with her surgery and post-operative care, with the exception of the standard office visit fees charged by the vets that she saw. Since I was paying for services up front, I expected I would have to wait a long time to be reimbursed for my out of pocket costs, however, I had a check in my hands within three weeks of submitting my claim. Thank you, Trupanion, I would certainly recommend your company to other pet owners.

Pets Best's plan is very clear and easy to understand, and when our dog was attacked and needed surgery, the company delivered exactly what they said they would. In addition, the ability to submit claims online is very convenient, as is the ability to have the insurance money direct deposited into our bank account. I am so grateful to Pets Best. My only recommendation would be to get the higher per incident limit. The $2500 we got to cover the surgery was really helpful, but the total cost was $5500. Next year, I'll be getting the $7000 per incident limit.

This has been my first time having pet insurance. Our other dog never seemed to need it, but when we got our german shepard I thought bigger dog, bigger problems. This was the first claim we filed (only 6 months after the policy became active) due to a large dog bite on our puppies stomach that required surgery. Trupanion was so easy to work with and collected all required documentation with little to no follow up on our end. The first claim, as the warned, takes about 2-3 weeks to process because the request all history on the animal. From that point forward they say claims typically process within a week. They paid us 90% of our total cost (excluding exam fee), which came out to almost $1,000! I don't know what we would have done without this coverage! I recommend Trupanion 100% to anyone looking for simple, easy to understand coverage for their pet. So far they have been true to their word and I am very happy we chose them for our dog!!
