You can count on this company

The most important criterion for vet insurance for me was that I be able to depend on the company paying what the contract said they would in case of disaster, because what's the point of insurance if you can't depend on it? I finally picked Embrace because (unlike most other companies) the reviews almost uniformly testified to their honoring the contracts they made: and it turned out to be a sound decision. For my eight year old cat I customized my policy to cover catastrophic expenses rather than routine annual preventative care, with a high deductible ($500) and 10% copay, and the highest annual limit ($10,000), with the very important "continuing care" rider (which prevents an illness which the company has paid out for from being considered a "pre-existing condition" in a subsequent policy year), no dental or prescription drug coverage. The monthly premium was about $30. After two years my cat had a brief upper respiratory infection, and then four days later suddenly became very ill with what turned out to be pancreatic cancer, for which there is sadly no treatment other than comfort care. Neither my vet nor the specialty vet hospital where he was referred for a sonogram and inpatient stabilization had dealt with Embrace before, but they submitted my claim forms and the invoices for the three visits. Three weeks later Embrace informed me that, after the annual deductible ($500), 10% copay ($232), and non-covered charges for prescription medicine dispensed by the vet

Once again, Embrace is well worth it

My dog, Eddie, has been under Embrace coverage for over a year. Making a claim is very easy and I receive my reimbursements for wellness visits within a week. I love Embrace so much, I just added my new five year old rescue, Roscoe. His first claim was just processed and I know the check will be here soon. I tell all of my doggie friends about Embrace and how easy they are to work with and quite affordable.

Very Happy I chose Embrace

I researched all the different pet insurance companies before settling on Embrace and I am very happy with my choice. I have had nothing but great customer service when I call and the benefits are great. I believe they are still the only company that covers breed specific genetic issues and the wellness program is wonderful. I also really appreciate that I can go to any licensed vet since I travel with my dog frequently and may someday need to visit a vet while on the road. Also, there is no hidden small print. What you sign up for is what you get and there's no guesswork when it comes time to submitting a claim because the forms are super easy and you can fax it in which is both immediate and cost saving. The discounts for microchipped pets and for paying for the full year in advance are also very helpful. All in all, my dog Whiskey and I are very happy with his insurance and I would not only recommend Embrace to all pet owners, I would easily get it again for my dog and any pets I own in the future.

prompt service, great coverage

Every claim I sent was processed quickly. Most importantly, a pre-certification clain was processed quickly so that I could schedule surgery for elbow dysplasia. Truthfully, I would prefer that I never needed to make a claim--it means I have a healthy dog! But unfortunately, things do happen, and there is more and more out there to help our pups.

Pleased with the Accident/Illness Plan

I purchased this insurance as an AFLAC type plan. I have primary insurance for my heeler, now 7, through Banfield. However after Samantha was attacked by a neighbor's dog and needed emergency care and surgery (which Banfield did not provide) I decided that we needed somehting extra, as a just in case. We have used it a few times for things that were not covered at Banfield. They people at ASPCA are very friendly. helpful, and quick to respond. Very happy.

So far, so good...

I just purchased my policy about 2 months ago. I researched a number of companies and chose Embrace because they seem to have better coverage for a number of common conditions. I also purchased the wellness plan and am glad that I did. I have already used the full $200, but I knew I would have plenty expenses during my puppy's first year of life. The claim was processed promptly, and I have had excellent communication via email. So far, so good.

Better companies out there!

I have had PetPartners for eight years and for the first four years I was very happy with their policy. However, over the past few years, I have bocome very disatisfied. They significantly increase their wellness policy a couple of years ago which made it almost impossible to afford. They do not cover alternative medicine such as acupuncture and chiropracty. I am extremely frustrated by this because my Newfoundland has a neck issue that could be treated much less invasively than conventional medicine. They will pay to put my elderly dog through surgery but will not pay for acupuncture to restore the function of his neck. Also, they will pay for pain and anti-inflammatory medication which will ruin by dogs liver, but they will not pay for herbs and supplements which are much safer alternatives. I have no choice but to keep this company because of the age of my dog and his pre-existing conditions. There are better companies out there that have better coverage, and YES, some companies WILL cover alternative medicine!

Superb!

I have had Embrace coverage for my dog Abbey for almost a year, and have only the highest regard for this company. Embrace has been a real lifesaver, make that "legsaver" for us. In late January, Abbey started limping on her front leg. After two regular vets, a neurologist, an orthopedist, and a radiologist, Abbey was diagnosed with bone chips in both front knees. She recently underwent bilateral arthroscopic knee surgery! So far, her bills have exceeded $4,000, something I could not have afforded without Embrace. The turnaround time on claims is remarkably consistent and fast. I asked for an expedited reimbursement for her surgery because of the large dollar amount I was out of pocket, and Embrace delivered. Thank you, thank you. I highly recommend Embrace and getting insurance for your furry kid(s). Abbey is a mix, so I never expected this problem. At 6 years of age, Abbey had never had a "sick day" in her life. You never know what will happen - and Embrace is there for you when the unexpected happens. I've used other companies before, and Embrace offers the best coverage and customer service by far.

great customer service, great peace of mind

I like knowing that my dog and I are in good hands. this time was stressful enough and embrace allowed me to worry only about my dog, not the money.
