fast and reliable

Trupanion has been great for us. They did a preauthorization for our Cat's operation and have taken care of all the follow up. They have saved us over $500!

Trupanion saved my puppy

Darcy is my 8 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback who started his young career in the show ring. He was doing great, but seemed to have a slight limp when he played too hard. At first we thought he was going through growing pains; but after taking him to a vet we found out he had a problem with his right front elbow. We then took him to another vet specialist and had a CT scan done. The worst was confirmed ununited anconeal process and medial coronoid process; and he needs an operation. Thank God that we took out insurance with Trupanion. They have been supportive and quick at returning our refund. it was the first time I took out insurance and won't be the last. You never know when you will have problems with your pet and you sure don't want to put down a loved one.

They pay claims

They've paid all of my claims so far and paid close to the claimed amount. Some parts of the claims were not covered, but nothing major.

Pet insurance

I like ASPCA better than the last insurance company I dealt with. It does seem to take a long long time for the claims to be processed, though. That's my only negative feeling about this insurance company.

Worth It

Our most recent claim involved a late night trip to the emergency vet, xrays and ultrasounds -- none of which are cheap. Submitted $1400 worth of claims and received $800 back from ASPCA, which more than paid for the year's premiums. Adding to the overall value is the pleasant customer service team, who have consistently been friendly, sympathetic and helpful on the phone. My one complaint would be what I feel is ASPCA's unfair comparison of what they consider the fair/average rate for vet services as they don't seem to take geography into account; EVERYTHING is much more expensive in NYC, so not accurate to base reimbursement on what the going rate is in other states/cites. Regardless, still worth it.

Saved our cat's life and improved ours!

We've had the pet insurance for a few years, but finally had an incident where we REALLY needed it. My cat had a serious illness and had to be rushed to the emergency vet and kept overnight for several days--and have surgery. Two hours after we had to drop him at the ER, my husband sprained his ankle and was out of work without pay for 4 weeks. Luckily we had the ability to front my cat's medical expenses, but even more importantly we didn't hesitate to take on all of the mounting costs for my cat because we knew we'd have 80% reimbursement (at least until our maximum amount per illness at our level). Without that knowledge, it might have been a heart wrenching decision to make simply because of a lack of finances. The reimbursement literally saved my cat's life and helped us pay our mortgage the next month. Correspondence with the claims department was fast and easy.

Outstanding service

I have been with Embrace for over a year now, and boy, was it worth it! With a new puppy, you never know what you will run in to. Embrace has been a hassle-free pet insurance, and a pleasure to deal with. Embrace always emails me to keep me updated on the claim, which is very much appreciated!

Fabulous

I have never had pet insurance before for my previous dogs. But we were faced with a hard decision with our last pet and we couldn't afford to proceed with any further investigations to an illness due to cost. We had just had twins and there was no way we could spend thousands of dollars on tests and surgery to maybe find out that it was all futile and so had to put our last pet to sleep. So I made a promise to myself that I would not be in that position again. So with our new puppy in the house; I did some internet searches and fell across Embrace. I knew I did not want to go with the most well known pet insurer as I had heard that they were not good at reimbursement for major events. For me it was most important to have coverage for the unforeseen events and not for regular visits and vaccines etc... The friendly staff on the phone, discussed the available plans and options and helped me find the best plan with no pressure. My dog is 5 yrs. old now and unfortunately for her and I; she has been through the ringer with one thing and another but I can always count on Embrace to help us through financially. Improving the quality of her life which I could not otherwise afford. I feel like embrace is family and ALWAYS highly recommend them. I already have some friends at work that have also taken out policies with Embrace. I wished I lived in Ohio .... as I would love to go visit their office and office pets. I firmly believe they are a company of pet loving pe

Jenny and Rosie think your the Greatest

I signed up for Pets Best about 4 years ago and wouldn't you know about three weeks later Rosie had a major immune disorder occur.I was convinced that Pets Best would jump to a conclusion that this was an undisclosed pre-existing condition and I would be in for a prolonged battle. I couldn't have been more wrong and in fact my claim was processed within 5 days.Since then, unfortunately for Jenny and Rosie they have had two more major issues and again PetsBest have stepped up to the plate, promptly and efficiently. Obviously their is nothing I would like more than NOT to have to make claims, but after incurring these large costs ,I thank my lucky stars that great, quality insurance outfits like PetsBest exist.
