Healthy Paws is a must! They offer one of the top coverage policies in the market and they provide quick and easy claims reimbursement. They even followed up to check on our Litty Lou after a recent medical emergency. If you’re thinking about it, don’t! Just get it!

Absolutely our greatest peace of mind…
Absolutely our greatest peace of mind in giving the best possible care for our fur babies! Very quick with claims review and reimbursement and clear in terms of what is covered and what is not depending on the plan and level chosen. Whenever there was any issue with the determination of a certain claim, we are able to speak directly with someone to appeal the claim and in over 5 years of being with them, I have only done this a couple of times. You can always reach a customer service representative too and each time I've called which was very few times, each representative had shown an extraordinary amount of empathy, care, and understanding. One of my pups became diabetic later on and without Healthy Paws, we would not be able to give her all the medication that she needs. I have never had any desire to consider any other insurance as they are the cream of the crop!

I had just got pet insurance was not sure about it.Then my dog had got some infection and the vets around my area could not figure it out.So i made the hour trip to see a specialist in Dermatology.And I met the deductable by the next visit.I got my first reimbursement check with in 2 weeks.So far pets best has been good.

I read the Trupanion insurance guides carefully before selecting a plan but didn't realize that my emergency costs would be significantly higher: each emergency visit also involves a non-covered exam fee.
I read the Trupanion insurance guides carefully before selecting a plan, but didn't realize that my emergency costs would be significantly higher: each emergency visit also involves a non-covered exam fee. I chose a $200 deductible, thinking that exam fees were for routine preventative care. Instead, I should have planned on ~60% higher costs in the event of an injury. $200 deductible (lifetime, but per-incident) + $125 exam fee (per visit).

Very Happy to Have Trupanion Insurance!
Trupanion has set up a very simple process for submitting claims. The appeals form/process, however, is confusing, thus only a 9 rather than a 10 above. Ines has been Very helpful, patient, kind, and understood my questions.
