Words can't describe how helpful and sympathetic the folks at Trupanion were when our 6 month old Klee Kai had a horrible accident. Friends were pet sitting her while my husband and I travelled abroad. While being with them, she was on a walk and got loose from her collar - long story short, she fell/jumped into a basement parking lot ramp and fractured her 7th vertebrae. Initial emergency care specialists thought she could have neurological damage, later she was taken to a specialist clinic where she had an MRI and subsequently massive surgery to reconstruct her fracture vertebrae and fix it in place with cement, steel plate and screws. In total, the bills came close to $11,000. When I called Trupanion from abroad and explained the situation, not only were they immensely helpful and sympathetic, but they calmly reassured me that they were there to help and they would do anything they could to help us save our puppy - they didn't disappoint. Their claim approval process was lightning fast - we wanted to make sure the claim would go through before committing to spend $11k, so they went out of their way to make the pre-approval happen in a matter of hours. After the operation (which went extremely well), Trupanion stayed in touch with us to make sure our dog was OK and to see if they could help with anything else. Having this insurance has provided me with the peace of mind and confidence needed to totally enjoy my pets. I love doing things with my 3 goldendoodles and they go everywhere with me. I am very cautious about where they go and they are very well behaved, however, they are dogs and love to get into things. Knowing that if any of them would have an accident or medical problem gives me the confidence and reassurance to relax and enjoy them.

I have had both my dogs insurance with Healthy Paws since they were puppies (about 2 years now). I've submitted claims for medications, allergy testing and small cost items - all claims were always processed fast and they always cover what they say they will. Just the other day, my little mini-golden doodle had been scratching his face a lot, I knew it was probably seasonal allergies. I took him to a dog dermatologist where they performed a skin allergy test, gave him a steroid shot to calm the itching and all this other stuff, including daily allergy shots medication. The bill shockingly came out to $1050 - holy crap, I was not expecting that. The Healthy Paws claim form was sent in that same evening to reimbursement. This was a Tuesday, by Thursday the same week I had over a $800 check sitting in my mailbox. Healthy Paws is quick, efficient and honest. I did my due diligence when shopping for pet insurance companies and I found out a lot of dirty stuff on other companies. Healthy Paws has only raised my rate about $5 or so dollars since the beginning - that is completely fine with me. Healthy Paws is the best decision I have made for my pups.

I encourage all pet owners to insure their beloved pets. Howie became a client at three months of age. In the first few months of his little life, he was wonderful, beautiful fur, soft, unblemished belly and loved his dog food. As he was approaching his first birthday, he broke out with pimples and sores all over his belly. To make a long story short, Howie is allergic to chicken and turkey, his thyroid level is low and he has canine alopecia. I honestly don't know how I would have survived the financial aspects of testing and treating if not for ASPCA Pet Insurance. As Howie approaches his second birthday I can say that we have his issues under control. Thank you so much ASPCA Pet Insurance. It is a great investment.

I decided to purchase pet insurance after Ivy, one of our tabby cats, ran up her favorite tree and slipped off, suffering a badly broken leg. The ER and vet bills were steep, but we paid up because Ivy is a member of our family. Since then Ivy has used up a couple more of her "lives" requiring ER visits and ongoing veterinary treatment. On each of those occasions, I submitted her bills to ASPCA and have been very satisfied with their response and reimbursement. I highly recommend this insurance for anyone who loves their pets and doesn't want to be faced with a tough decision about their care options in the event of accident or illness.
