Trupanion came through for me. I read a bunch of horror stories about pet insurance and ultimately decided on Trupanion as they seemed to pay claims with the least caveats/issues. In the end one pays a bit more with trupanion but it was peace of mind. Just the other day my 2.5 year old doberman (dumbest smartest dog in the world) ate a piece of ball and it got stuck in her small intestine. I thought she was going to die and was extremely distraught. She didnt eat, was lethargic, and took 4 days to diagnose. Once they did she was in emergency surgery that same day. I had never submitted a dog insyrance claim before so i was a bit worried about was the bill but I felt somewhat better that I maybe was covered. The surgery ended up costing $8k. Trupanion paid exactly what they said they would and literally within 5 days it was deposited in my account. And my dog at this moment is back to normal, except for a narly scar and a cone around her head. As long as I have dogs, Im now a Trupanion believer. Thank you.

Trupanion has been super efficient at resolving claims and answering questions. I recommend calling and speaking with a representative when signing up because I missed the information about the rehab rider, but I have been very pleased with their assistance.
