I have never before had pet insurance, although I've had pets all my life. But I decided to try it out, signing up with Trupanion, and in less than 1 year, my decision literally saved my cat's life. When she began to vomit blood and retch, and x-rays showed a likely foreign object, I okayed surgery to save her. Without insurance, I don't think I could have afforded it, and I would hate to have lost her just because of money. I filed my claim and received a check within 3 weeks! Thank you, Trupanion!

When our pug Trevor was hit by a car - I was happy that we were fully covered by Pet Insurance. I was able to provide Trevor with the best care possible to help this horrible accident and injury be put behind us. It was a long recovery period-but he is now on the mend. I am so happy that the outcome was a positive one. The thought of losing Trevor is imaginable.I am grateful for the care Trevor received and the insurance that covered us during this difficult time. My dog had eye surgery, and the vet faxed the claim in for me. It was responded to within a week and paid within another week. It was nice to receive 90% of the bill back in a check!

My golden doodle puppy (6 months) ate half of a soft plastic dog toy. In his stomach, the pieces hardened into little knife shards. The vet hospital extracted 22 pieces of the stuff through an endoscope. So glad I had Trupanion insurance!!

My dog's claim for dental surgery reimbursement based on her accident too over a month to process. I think that's way too long.

I have insured my pets previously through another company. I insured my older pet (11) through Trupanion. She has since unfortunately been diagnosed with lymphoma. I was concerned that I would have trouble getting help in reimbursement as she is older. I had NO difficulties AT ALL. They certified that this was not a pre-existing condition, readily communicated with both my regular vet and the oncologist. Every phone call I've placed has been answered by a knowledgeable, kind customer service rep.I am honestly so grateful to have signed up with this company. I am a dog lover, and forsee myself insuring future pets with them as well. Well worth the investment.
