Care for your pet

My cat, Bella, was not well and what started as an ultra-sound ended up in surgery for a tumor (cancer) and further treatment for intestinal issues. I would not have been able to afford the treatment if it was not for Healthy Paws. Yes, I paid for the things they do not cover, but they paid for a big chunk of all the treatments. Glad to say that Bella is recovering nicely! :)

Excellent Caring Service

My little Havanese recently went to our vet to receive medical treatment for an illness and was provided excellent service. The excellence continued with our pet insurer, Healthy Paws. Not only did they turn our claim around in one week's time, they followed up with us to see how our puppy was doing! My husband and I are thrilled with our experience with Healthy Paws and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance.

Trupanion Saved Yumi's Life - Twice in 17 Days!

Our yellow Lab Yumi is only six years old and a cancer surviver. During her cancer treatment I was advised to buy pet insurance from Trupanion, even though the cancer treatments would not be covered. I almost didn't, figuring what good would it do to have another bill to pay during this difficult time? What else could possibly go wrong? Well, I am so thankful I did, because seven or so months after I enrolled her, she was cancer free but had an unrelated and very sudden and very severe attack of pancreatitis. Despite having the best care available to her, Yumi was given only a 50/50 chance of survival the night she was admitted to a level 2 ICU at the vet hospital. She spent five nights there, was discharged, but returned to ICU less than three weeks later with a relapse for three more nights of care. Trupanion made her treatments possible. Without Trupanion her care would have been prohibitively expensive and I shudder to think what our alternative would have been with her is such agony for so long. Trupanion's assistance allowed her to have the life saving plasma and other specialty transfusions she desperately needed, along with routine supportive care and close monitoring, without which she very well may have died. Trupanion did exactly as they had told me they would do during our pre-enrollment conversations, which was to work immediately with the vet hospital to arrange direct payment to minimize our out of pocket costs, to keep in frequent communic

Well worth it.

I have had the level II insurance on my friend Buster for maybe 4 years now. He's an old guy at 12 now. He hasn't had too many health problems except arthritis due to old age and some skin allergies. He has only had relatively small claims. But while getting x-rays for laser treatments for his arthritis, he was discovered to have bladder stones. Major panic. He had to have major surgery and I had to take out a loan at the credit union. I turned in the claim and they promptly covered a large portion of that. Major relief. I would recommend this pet insurance to anyone who loves their pet. I have read some of these reviews and I would like to add that under the terms laid out in the level of insurance I have purchased, I have never been treated unfairly. I purchase this insurance mainly as a safeguard against a devastating illness or accident and my experience with this company has been that it's well worth the cost of the premiums for the peace of mind those premiums provide.

Satisfied customer

This was my first experience using our coverage. I have 3 cats who have been covered under Embrace for 3 years . They have a $1000 deductible, but $10,0000 in coverage. A lot of people told me that pet insurance is a rip off but I wanted to give it a try. Pet care now can do so much, but it can get pricey. I never want to make "the decision" just because I can't afford the pet's care. This summer Napster began to lose weight but there was nothing else obviously wrong. He needed very comprehensive blood work, some medications, X-rays, and an abdominal ultrasound. Although we still aren't entirely sure what it was, we know for sure what (bad things) it wasn't and his weight has stabilized. He exceeded his deductible, and Embrace reimbursed me their share. It took a little longer than expected to handle the claims but they emailed me regularly to let me know they were working on it. They did what they say they will, without any hassle. I have recommended them to several other pet parents I know.

slow reibursement

We have been customers of Embrace for almost 2 years. Up until September 2013 we were completely satisfied. Our claims for both Wellness and medical were processed quickly and efficiently and generally had our claim satisfied within 7-10 days. However in September of 2013 the company switched to another provider and currently we have two submitted claims one for Wellness on 9/27/13 and one for medical on 9/30/13 as of this date we still have not received our reimbursement. A policy holder should not have to wait 30 days for a claim to be processed. We have pet insurance to ease the burden of out of pocket expenses. When it takes 30 days (or more) to receive refunds it does little to ease the burden. We will be exploring other insurance providers who offer a similar plan but with expedited claim reimbursement. Best coverage, customer service, PERIOD!

When my family decided to get are Great Dane, Bella, as a puppy, I knew with big dogs come often times big problems. I never wanted to have to make a decision on the care of Bella based on money. After doing some research, I decided on Embrace and I am so happy I did!! Unfortunatly, in the four short years Bella has lived, she has had to endure two TPLO surguries as well as surgery for her stomach bloating. I know my dog is alive today because of Embrace. Their customer service is second to none. They do not nickle and dime the bill and they are very responsives. I cannot thank you enough and I talk to any pet owners who will listen about the benifits of insuring with Embrace. Once again, my family thanks you for standing behind your product through this difficult time with our beloved doggie, Bella!

Happy Customer

Having been a long unsatisfied client of VPI, I knew I wanted a change when I rescued my next dog. The Cage Free Canine rescue suggested Healthy Paws, so i took a shot. On of my girls injured her ACL and i was expecting the same lack of service I had encountered with VPI but much to my surprise, Healthy Paws coverage and timely reimbursement was amazing. I pay a higher premium for a lower deductable and greater amount of coverage and couldn't be happier. I can't recommend them enough and look forward to being a long time client.
