Everytime I call Trupanion, they are incredibly friendly and helpful. Our dog has hip dysplasia and has recently had his first total hip replacement. Trupanion were able to provide us with quick pre-approval so the surgery could go ahead (they got back to us within an hour). Then, when making the claim, their representative Donna was very helpful and took charge of our claim so that it could be processed as quickly as possible. We have been extremely pleased with the service and coverage and really would recommend them for pet insurance.

We signed up for the 30 day trial when we got our puppy and she ended up having some health problems during that time. We quickly realized how fast the cost adds up and decided to convert to a policy at the end of the trial. The service has been quick, efficient, and friendly. Strongly recommended!

They have done a great job getting precertifications done, and the response from the employees has been nothing but wonderful.It would be nice if the claim approval was a little faster. It takes about a month to see the approval for claims come through.

Our 1 year old yellow lab (Chunk) digested an entire tube sock, he underwent 4 hours of surgery which saved his life. Had it not been for our vet and Healthy Paws he would have surely passed away. The comfort of knowing that Healthy Paws is there to insure the coverage of a surgery such as this is what made the decision that much easier to give the go ahead for the surgery. We could not be happier about the way the claims have been handled and their quick response to all of our emails and phone calls. I have already recommended Healthy Paws to several of my friends that have new (and old) pets in order for them to be rest assured that when (not if) there pets will require a visit to the vet that they two will be in good hands knowing a company such as this will stand beside them in their time of need. Embrace has responded to my claim faxes with an impressive efficiency history. It really does help to send them a pet history to speed up the process. I also appreciate that they enable you to get your claim via direct deposit. To date I have not complaints and they have covered my wellness claims with great service.

Trupanion – I cannot believe how wonderful you are – when my son got his “Bengal Cat” – I told him to get “pet insurance” – never dreaming that I would be needing this insurance within weeks of me recommending that he got insurance. We have owned Labradors all our lives – we now own our 5th Labrador – (one at a time) - all are well bred English Labradors and over the years they have cost us a lot of money and have always been an integral part of our family – we have never had pet insurance before – as we are now seniors I felt that getting pet insurance would be wise – I also secretly believed that if we were “insured” nothing would happen to our beloved pet – like “paying it forward” – an insurance against things going wrong. Our Misty is now five – so still a young dog – and for a number of years – I thought she was - well – maybe a bit “blonde” – or maybe a bit “short-sighted” or maybe a bit “deaf” – because I felt her responses were not quite normal. My husband was a little less patient – and said that she was badly trained – and of course – typical of husbands – blamed her “bad training” and “disobedience” on me!
