great, caring people!

We have several dogs and cats covered by Embrace insurance. We have been with them for 3 years. We have found the entire staff, especially Laura, to be caring, efficient and knowledgeable. We had insurance with a different Pet Insurance Company before Embrace and there is no comparison! Embrace is by far, the superior company in all ways.

Excellent, caring customer service.

We've been with Embrace for 1 year, and unfortunately one of our cats has had 2 serious hip and knee surgeries.The Embrace staff was caring and very helpful both times. The paperwork was easy and the reimbursement was very quick (2 weeks for surgery and other related claims). We're very pleased and will continue to use Embrace as well as recommend them to our vet and friends who have animals.

Outstanding Service

I've had a number of adopted dogs over the years but I've never had pet insurance. I started hearing more about it, and after doing some research I decided to get insurance for my two adopted French Bulldogs. I went with Healthy Paws based on their excellent review and the fact that they support rescue groups. Last weekend I woke up to find one of my boys very ill. I rushed him to an emergency vet clinic where he had to spend the night. The folks at Healthy Paws couldn't have been nicer or more supportive. 24 hours after submitting paperwork, I received an email stating my claim was processed and that a check would be sent the next day. My experience dealing with Healthy Paws couldn't have been better and I would highly recommend them.

Really Great .

I Needed Paper Work Only And Luther Had It On Its Way Before I Was Off The Phone. Now That Is Fast. He Was Very Kind and Helpful. We Give Him Excellent On All.We Need So Many People Like Him.We Have 2 Dogs.

Absolutely love this company!

I've always been skeptical of pet insurance companies as I've been told for years that they never really pay when you need them. Because I have two large dogs, however, I carried the insurance for 3 years just in case. Recently my 6 year old labradoodle tore his ACL and required surgery (very expensive surgery, I might add) and I'm happy to report that not only did Pet's Best pay 80%, but they processed my claim in 2 days. I couldn't believe how quickly I received payment! I can't say enough good things about this company, and would strongly recommend them to everyone.

Within 2 weeks - Made a claim!

On March 8th, 2010, my 3 month old puppy Jewel was rushed to emergency. An hour earlier, we had taken her to the front of our condo to get some fresh air. She was already in the habit of picking things up off the ground all the time, but most of the time she spit it out. Once the vet examined her, they determined she had swallowed a cigarette butt and now had nicotine poisoning. I was devastated and extremely worried if she was going to make it and how much this vet bill was going to be affecting my wallet!! The next day, I am happy to say, Jewel recovered and was looking much better. I paid for the bill ($853.10) and the vet office sent in my claim. The next day I received an email confirming that my claim was received. I was very impressed. It’s nice to know that when you send something in, that the company acknowledges they have it, so you’re not waiting and wondering. I was even more impressed that on March 10th (TWO DAYS AFTER THE INCIDENT!!!!), I received yet another email with an outline of the claim and what was covered. EVERYTHING (not including the exam) up to 90%!! I was amazed. It was only a few weeks before that I had set up the insurance and I already witnessed the exceptional customer service this company provides. No additional questions or hassle!! My puppy was back at home feeling better and my wallet wasn’t feeling as empty as I expected. Thanks Trupanion!! I’ve already recommended you to many of my friends and I am sure you will have many many many more customers coming your way!!!

Very happy with customer service & turnaround time

My first visit to the vet with my new dog resulted in returning home with several pamphlets on pet insurance. I did my homework and extensively researched each one. Embrace was by far, the best one I could find. They have not proven me wrong!! Their "claims embracer's" are outstanding. I am kept informed every step of the way regarding my claims and receive answers to my questions quickly and professionally. The turnaround time on claims is good and there is always communication from Embrace as the claims are being processed. Sadly for my dog, he has issues but I have relief knowing that Embrace is there for me. I am happy I chose them.

The initial cost is worth it

We decided to get Embrace Pet Insurance for our Bernese Mountain Dog based on the reviews posted on their site. We were initially only going to get pet insurance for the first year; however we loved them so much we have decided to keep them for her second year (and probably for the life of our dog). We are very happy with their services. A quick list of what they have done: Covered what they are supposed to. Really friendly (which I appreciate!!). Clear email communications. Not that fast with the actual money back, but not super slow either. Probably about normal on that front, 2 - 3 weeks. My husband is skeptical of health insurance companies and doesn't expect much. In his words, "I am actually just shocked at how helpful they have been." (This is a HUGE compliment coming from him). We would definitely recommend them to someone new or old to pet insurance. For the first year we got almost the top of the line plan. It was really expensive but we decided to do it. Boy am I glad we did. We've gotten at least 1,500 back from them and paid close to 1,200 up front. So we saved at least 300 by having them (and if god forbid anything bad had happened, she was covered for far more). The regular wellness was definitely worth it, and the only reason we downgraded our plan for the second year was that we're not expecting as much to go wrong now that she's over her initial hump of vaccines and neutering. Misleading-False security

Though the customer service rep.'s are very pleasant. The insurance coverage, was not what the website hypes it up to be. They claim that they cover "genetic specific" conditions....which may be true, but proved false in my case. My vet and I had a misunderstanding of the requirements for the orthopedic waiver. . . My Vet wanted to be 100% sure that my puppy (8 weeks at the time), a Large breed dog, didn't have hip dysplasia (which can be hereditary). The only way for her to make this determination was to place my baby puppy under anesthesia. As concerned parents, that had a perfectly healthy pup, we opted not to have our pup put under. Later, a condition very common in large breed puppies (OCD) developed in our puppy (which occurs between the ages of 4 and 7 months). Through, the course of diagnosis, it was determined our pup did not have hip dysplasia and had developed OCD in her right shoulder after the initial exam. To have this corrected, she needs surgery which is roughly $2500. Embrace, a business, meaning, for profit. Decided, this was a pre-existing condition and would not cover even a portion of her Vet bills. Even with the timeline of events and diagnosis being annotated by my Vet and submitted directly to them. Maybe because my policy was only 5 months old and the company didn't want to chance losing that much money, when I hadn't even contributed very much?
