Horrible Swindlers

I signed up for one month free when I adopted a puppy last summer. I was told that my credit card information was customary, but it would be cancelled after 1 month, that I would have to sign and return authorization for it to be continued. Well, I never recieved any papers but I sure did get charged for the policy. I have cancelled a total of three times. The first they have no record of, the second they do, but erroneously continued charging me for. Now I cancelled again and was told (7 days ago) that the back charges would be credited to my account within 24 to 48 hours. Of course they haven't been. I call back today, sit on hold for 35 minutes and am told that it usually takes WEEKS to get a refund. I demanded to speak to a supervisor and was put through to a voice mail box. I am once again on hold for a person. I have never been made to feel less important. I am seriously considering contacting the Attorney General's office and filing a claim.

Good, But not the Best!

I have had PetCare insurance for over seven (7) years. They always paid the claims for my cat Tippy. However, Tippy has passed and my new cat Angel's policy has several exclusions which didn't even pertain to her. I paid one year up front and had to take Angel to the vet last week and got socked with a $213.00 bill because she ate something in the grass (a bug ?). Because whatever she ingested caused vomiting and diahrrea, they won't cover this since it was listed as a previous condition. After reviewing other plans on the internet, I found that mine was one of the worst out there!

Best Insurance for Pets

I used to work at an animal hospital and saw many different pet insurance companies. Most of our clients had VPI and all I ever heard were complaints about that company so when it was time for me to get insurance for my dog, I did some research. Out of all the companies I found, PetsBest seemed to be the best fit for my dog. I have never had a problem with them and they process claims very quickly. So far I have had to file a few claims. Last December, my dog ate a 1lb box of chocolate and had to go to the ER and then in April she was attacked by another dog and, again, had to go to the ER. PetsBest never questioned anything and they sent over $100 back for each of those claims. They even cover dental cleanings which most of the other companies don't cover. They sent back a check for over $100 for that also. From what I had heard about the other companies, I wasn't expecting to recieve much back from the claims so I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved the checks. I highly recommend this company.

Great Wellness Coverage

Pets Best actual pays what they advertise. I religiously take my dog Isabell to our Vet for check-ups. Best Best Wellness with no deductible has returned more in services than I have paid.

Great Pet Insurance

I have coverage for my golden retriever, Honey, and have taken advantage of the Embrace Wellness Plan as well. They are very responsive and the customer service is top notch. They even promptly communicate via email, which is what I prefer. It took less then 3 week for them to process a claim and get a check to me. It would have been quicker if I had taken advantage of the direct deposit feature, which I will do next time. Overall, this is a great insurance company and one I have had an excellent experience with thus far.

Timely Service

I am extremely impressed with Embrace Pet Insurance. I was a little hesitant about obtaining pet insurance because I felt it would be a hassle to be remimbursed and/or a waste of time. Embrace has had an influence on the way I thought it would be. I faxed my first claims on a Monday and by Wednesday I received an e-mail that said they were being processed. How wonderful of them to keep you informed as to what is going with the claim and you don't have to second guess if you did something wrong. I will definetely be staying with Embrace for years.

Very Satisfied!

We got our 2 year old Boston Terrier insured in December. She got very sick once in January, and twice in February, one of those times even resulting in a very expensive 2 night hospital stay. Not only was Embrace very quick about getting our claims resolved once we filed, but we were VERY happy to find that $700 of the $1,000 hospital stay was covered after just 2 months of paying insurance premiums! And the attentiveness of the Embrace staff also made the whole process painless. We are very satisfied!

Wellness

I recently submitted my dog's first wellness claim results via email to Embrace and a day later I heard back from a representative that the claims were accepted and to expect reimbursement within 10 business days. I was shocked at how quickly it was processed but more importantly how quickly it was acknowledged.

A+ for ShelterCare

Our 1 year old fox terrier/sheltie mix was scratching her ears terribly when we brought her home from an NC no-kill shelter. It was a nasty yeast infection. I filed a claim for the vet charges with the ShelterCare 30 day policy that was provided by the shelter. The balance minus our deductible was reimbursed promptly within a few weeks after sending in the claim. I was pleasantly surprised by the promptness and ease of filing the claim. I would consider renewing the policy after the 30 days provided by the shelter but after calling the ShelterCare number I understood that they would not accept titers in place of vaccinations. They require standard vaccinations to be able to insure a dog with them. Unfortunately I use titers rather than vaccinations for my dogs which will prevent me from continuing a policy with them. That issue aside however, I would give them a good rating for honoring their 30 day coverage provided by the shelter.
