Best investment I ever made!

Both my pets have had unforseen health issues and if it wasn't for Pets Best I'm not sure what I would have done! My dog had a ruptured cruciate ligament (blew her knee out) about two years ago and needed surgery which wound up costing nearly $4,000. After paying my $75 deductible, they covered 80% of the bill! Not 80% of their "approved" charges, but 80% entirely! Then, if you can believe this, just last fall she ruptured her other knee, same exact surgery required, same results from Pets Best...awesome! Now about my cat. She has had three different occasions of requiring dental surgery for painful lesions and she's almost without any teeth now, but at least she's not in pain and neither is my wallet. Each extraction was costly and Pets Best delivered on their promise to pay 80% of the full charges, minus my deductible. I call my guys my million dollar babies, little lemons, ha-ha! But they are my most precious companions and I am so happy to know they have insurance to care for their medical emergencies...best investment I ever made!

True (and efficient) customer service.

We just had our female bulldog puppy spayed. Our policy with Embrace includes 'wellness' coverage, which provides $200 annual benefits for $180 in premiums. This was our first claim experience with Embrace, and included a policy adjustment (health insurance discount after spay or neuter). Both the claim reimbursement and the policy/premium adjustment were handled with perfect efficiency, including correspondence to ensure satisfactory handling before, during, and after processing. That sort of customer service is rare in my experience lately. Good work Embrace!

Stayed In Touch

Embrace stayed in touch about my claims and records review. They answered my emails within 24 hours and provided very helpful information. Coverage for the claim was as stated in their policy and all was processed in a very timely way and professional manner. I recommend Embrace to anyone who asks me.

Too Much Paper Work

I have had 2 well care visits in the past year, neither of which was applied to deductible. I took my dog 1 year ago because my neighbor died and no one wanted him. When he got a bad reaction to a bee sting, Embrace gave me a hard time about submitting 2 years of records, which I did not have. Only had the two wellcare visits that I had given him. After much a do about nothing they finally accepted the records that I had. The claim came just before the year end of my policy and by the time they applied the deductible my check was for $8.86! All that paper work for $8.00! Anyway I think that they should apply the deductible for the last 3 mths and first 3 months of the contract so that if you get another emergency within that time, you have already met the deductible. If it was carried over like most policies, it would be a big help. If I have another claim this week, I will have to meet the deductible again! Does not seem right to me. It took about a month to get my $8.00. I am hopeful that any further claims, will not be so difficult to get paid. Since they have increase my monthly fee, by $8.00. Big jump for someone that has only had 1 claim, and they only paid out $8.00!!!

Pet Insurance ..soownderful!!

Charlie was so sick with GI vomiting, diaerhea and abdominal tenderness and resulted in exploratory surgery! Dr Prince saved her life by finding a section of bowel that had inverted into itself and he was able to fix it. She had post op intravenous and is on a very special diet for the next couple of months. The insurance company notified me when they received the claim (which was substantial), informed me by email when it had been processed and I had the cheque within 2 weeks of notification...AMAZING and the forms are so easy to complete. Thanks to the staff at hte clinic, they filled in everything that needed to be done and faxed it to the insurance company....sure helped relieve a lot of the stress of Charlie's illness and the bank account!!!! I wouldn't be without the insurance and this is the best company I have ever had to deal with!

Best Pet Insurance

My cat spent six nights at an emergency clinic and had surgery. The bills kept adding up. Trupanion helped my save my pet. Without the insurance, I would not have been able to afford my cat's treatment.

No complaints....happy so far

We have 4 pets insured through Pets Best (since March). We recently put in a claim for our cat. I was afraid that Pets Best would not pay a claim because there was no definitive diagnosis after I submitted the first claim. Lots of tests were done and our bill was over $600. The vet wasn't sure if she had a bladder infection or possibly a bladder tumor (ultrasound showed strange findings). We knew we would continue to have follow up appts with our vet. We submitted our claim and Pets Best covered it. They did say that in order for them to accept another claim, they needed a definitive diagnosis. I appreciate that they still paid the first claim. I can understand where they are coming from. Needless to say, we did get a diagnosis. It ended up being an infection and they did pay the second claim as well. The only thing I never understood is that the vet gave our cat an injection for the infection and Pets Best didn't cover it. It was only $20.00 and I'm not sure why it wasn't covered...everything else was.

Terrific!

Paid 90% - paid 1st claim within 10 days of filing - 2nd claim almost immediately! So glad we have Trupanion on our side! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
