Best insurance company I have ever dealt with

We lost our two beloved dogs about two years ago, it took about a year to decide to get another dog. When we got Bonnie we decided that it was very important to get pet insurance. The illnesses of our two dogs had cost several thousand dollars, so we wanted to be better prepared this time. We looked at several policies and none seemed as good as Embrace. Embrace has handled every claim promptly and professionally. Every staff member I have dealt has been extremely nice, courteous and helpful. All in all the best insurance company. My own health insurance company could take a lot of lessons from Embrace.

terrible

Not worth your money. There is a $100 co-pay per injury and then they only pay 70 or 80%. UTI's are considered pre-existing even if it has been over 3.5 years since the last one!!! My dog needs surgery because of stones and they won't cover it. I have had the insurance for just over 3 years. She was seen twice for the same issue and they refused to count the previous deductible so I had to pay it again for the follow up visit with the vet after having to go to an emergancy after hours vet for the original injury.

No chronic condition renewal

This pet insurance does not cover chronic conditions that manifested in the previous year into the new policy year. They treat it as PRE EXISTING!! I had a 11 year old samoyed who developed kidney disease and when the policy renewed they no longer covered any of her bloodwork, medications, etc. and I was basically on my own as far as vet expenses were concerned. If you are not worried about that take the policy BUT you will regret it.

Saved my dog's life

My Cavalier King Charles Rudy got very sick when he was 9 weeks old. After getting him through that illness which was expensive, I decided to get him some pet insurance. When he was 8 months old he became very ill and after taking him to the vet it was determined that he had an intestinal blockage. He had to have emergency surgery to remove the blockage which turned out to be pieces of wood, string, plastic, etc. The bills ran about $2,000. The insurance reimbursed around $1,400. I don't know what I would have done without the insurance. They paid the claim very quickly. They saved Rudy's life and I would highly recommend them.

EXTREMELY SATISFIED

My 7 year old Labrador was diagnosed with cancer 4 weeks ago. One week after the diagnosis, my dog was scheduled for surgery. On the morning of his scheduled surgery, the poor dog was in such bad shape, the vet was reluctant to perform the operation. She doubted the dog would survive the surgery. She said that treatment would cost over $4000, and was concerned about running up a huge bill in the face of very poor odds for survival. Since I had insurance, we decided to give surgery a try, and hope for the best. Four weeks after surgery, my dog is making a remarkable recovery. The vet is even surprised at how well he is doing. All the follow-up test are quite promissing. I believe Petsecure insurance saved my dog. Without insurance, I doubt we would have proceeded with the costly treatment. I received my insurance check today, less that 2 weeks after making a huge claim. I was paid every penny that I was due, under my plan's conditions. I am quite impressed, and relieved that I had Petsecure insurance.

I feel EMBRACED!

After having the AKC Pet Healthcare Plan for over two years I recently switched my four Bulldogs to Embrace. The difference in the level of customer service is profound. One month after enrolling with Embrace I took my girls in for their Wellness check and Orthopedic Waiver exam (which was optional but recommended to waive the six month waiting period) and my vet found a mammary tumor on one of them. She had surgery that very day (a Saturday) and spent the night in the hospital. I submitted all my claims on Monday and the money was direct deposited into my account that Friday, less my $200 annual deductible and 10% co-pay for the surgery. I am still in shock! The Embrace reps provided me with status EVERY step of the way. I was used to submitting claims to my old plan and then calling a couple of weeks later only to be told that they hadn't received them, or if they had then they had not been processed yet. Then, once they were processed 90% of the time they were denied because they considered it a genetic condition. I started doing research on other options for Pet Insurance and learned that AKC Pet Healthcare Plan was one of the WORST rated companies out there. I chose Embrace because:1) They cover genetic disorders (unless pre-existing). 2) Their customer service ratings are superior. 3) The level of person service I received when I inquired about their plans. 4) The ability to customize your coverage and get an optional Wellness Plan which includes flea/tick and heartworm prevention products (which are covered even if you buy on the internet, teeth cleaning, vaccinations, etc. 5) They offer discounts for multiple pets, spayed/neutered pets, micro-chipped pets, plus they honor coupons you find on the internet for an additional 5% off. As a breeder/exhibitor of Bulldogs (who as most people know are prone to genetic disorders) I have begun recommending Embrace to everyone who has every purchased a pup of mine and to my dog show friends. I have been blessed with very healthy Bulldogs so my girls don't have anything they consider pre-existing but it brings me so much comfort knowing that they will be covered if something should come up. I highly recommend Embrace. I'm just sorry I spent so much money on coverage with the AKC Pet Healthcare Plan (who doesn't over any discounts - not even multi-pet) before I realized I was wasting my money. It pays to research pet insurance companies before you buy. I just automatically signed up with AKC Pet Healthcare because the offer came with the pup registration and I figured if it had the AKC seal of approval it must be good. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best thing we bought for our puppy!

I had never owned a pet before and had recently purchased a puppy. Several friends suggested purchasing pet insurance. One day I heard a radio ad for Trupanion and on impulse, checked out their website and signed up that day. We are so thankful we did, because our 9 month old puppy fractured a hip not long after we enrolled. Thanks to Trupanion, we knew that most of the enormous vet bills were covered...not only were they covered, but we received our refund check in the mail less than a week after the surgery! We are so grateful that our dog is now healthy and happy, and we are happy he had insurance!

Embrace is above the rest!

When my last dog was a puppy, there wasn't wellness care or cancer coverage so I decided not to purchase insurance. Last year my dog passed away from Lymphoma cancer and decided to search for pet insurance that had extensive coverage options. When researching insurance policies and coverage, Embrace had a wealth of coverage including wellness and cancer coverage among other health issues and pre-existing conditions which other insurance companies tend not to cover so I decided to take a chance. All of the people at Embrace have been extremely helpful including answering all my questions. When my new puppy was spayed, I submitted my bills and was reimbursed promptly under my wellness policy. It was hassle-free and quick to receive payment. Wellness coverage is a plus and well worth it. I would recommend Embrace to any pet owner.

Real Animal Lovers & Professionals

I've only filed one claim on my Boerboel, but that claim was handled expeditiously and to my satisfaction (not an easy feat since I am one of *those* dog moms who wants to know/understand everything)

They delivered what they promised!

Other insurance companies would not cover illnesses that are known to occur frequently in a breed, but Trupanion did not have these restrictions and even better, they delivered what they promised.
