Fantastic!

I have only had Pets Best for a few months, but have been extremely impressed with their service. Within only weeks of getting the insurance, one of our dogs came down with a skin infection. Pets Best sent us a check very quickly and with no problem. We had two other somewhat expensive procedures after this (unrelated), which were also handled quickly and efficiently. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever I would call to ask a question. One of our dogs ended up dying from an aneurism, and Pets Best paid for his cremation. They also sent us a nice sympathy card, which was unexpected and very sweet.So far, we are very impressed and will definately continue to put future dogs on this insurance.

it gets a big O

I paid premiumes for 8 years for my dog, Buddy. I was saving it and never filed a claim. # weeks ago he haD an ear infection and he also needed dental cleaning. the vet bnill came to 440.00, 24 petwatch sent me a check for $65.50. I cancelled my policy today. They just sell policies and sell the company to some other scam artist. I think its terrable to take advantage of people who try to take care of their pets. DON'T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Trupanion Exceptional Prompt Claim Service

I have two Briards insured with Trupanion. What stands out for me is Trupanion's exceptional personalized service. I have always been contacted by my claim representative promptly on making the claim, a status follow up and even more importantly very prompt resolution of the claim! I have only had best experiences with Trupanion. Such personal service is rare today. It's all about the dogs not a negotiation for coverage!

Only the Best for my dogs =)

I have worked for a vet for almost 10 years, so I never needed insurance for any of my pets. I will be leaving him to relocate this year. So, not knowing where the closest vet would be and where I would be working, we decided to get pet insurance. I called and spoke to 6 different companies. Most of them had extended hours and I was able to call after work. Embrace was the only company that I found hard to get a hold of and almost just excluded it as an option. After looking at the other companies that I had chosen, I narrowed it down to 24PetWatch’s insurance. However, after calling them back, I decided against it as they told me that if my puppy had a ongoing issue, they wouldn’t cover it past that policy period unless it was deemed cured and remained cured for 180 days. I was sitting at home debating with my fiancé with what we should do… nothing seemed to appeal to us. That’s when we decided to give Embrace a call. The customer service was UNREAL!! I called 8 or 9 times within 2 days to ask silly questions, and not once did anyone get aggravated or annoyed with me. In fact, they encouraged me to call with any questions I may have. When I call in now, they know me and immediately want to know if my puppy is ok. As far as I understand, Embrace is a GREAT company, as long as you get the insurance before ANY problems arise. I’ve heard that if something happened before insurance, and something similar happens after the insurance, no coverage. For instance, diarrhea is a common issue of puppies in a new household… due to environment changes, food changes, even intestinal worms. If that puppy has diarrhea 6 months later, he isn’t covered because it’s a “pre-existing”… even though the reason for the diarrhea is completely different. So, if you are looking at insurance for a puppy that has had NO problems, this is a GREAT program! However, if you want to get it for a dog that has had ANY problems, I would recommend you do a Medical History Review with them! They will get the past 2 years history on your pet, and then let you know what they will not cover. The problem with this is that you have to be insured before they do this for you… but you have a 30 day money back guarantee if the plan will not cover what you want it to cover.My puppy has the wellness coverage, and luckily, that’s all I’ve had to use so far (for neutering and microchipping, and a couple vaccines). Since I work for a vet, that $200 takes me pretty far. =) Pet Insurance is all about preference… what you want it to cover, what is “pre-existing”, how much you are willing to pay, and where you live.

They're OK, Paid as Stated

I had PetCare (24PetWatch) for a couple of years on my now 2-year-old-male cat. In that time, I had one claim, and my last policy was QickCare Gold 90, though it appears they don't offer it any more. They paid the claim and were a bit slow, but they paid it as stated. I paid a lot more for the insurance than I got back, but that's good in a way because my cat was healthy with few accidents, only one that needed coverage. They also paid 90% on emergency visits, so I'm giving them a 10, though others have problems with them.

best thing I did for my dog

Petsecure was there for us all the way when my twelve year old border collie-cross was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She had neuro surgery to remove the mass and nine months later remains tumour free. Petsecure reimbursed us nearly $20,000 in vet bills, something we could not have managed on our own. A pet owner's financial situation should never have to be the deciding factor when it comes to providing treatment for your pet. Fortunately for us it didn't have to be thanks to Petsecure.

9 pets insured with PetFirst and counting!

I got coverage with PetFirst over 2 years ago, and have been HAPPY ever since. I recommend them to everyone I see!! I even leave their pamphlets at my vets office. The rates were half the cost 2 years ago, and they have since doubled their prices (which I was not happy with), but they are STILL reasonably priced, I have 3 policies with 3 pets on each. They have covered many different problems without question. On 2 occasions, my vet called them to explain the condition and they paid the same day. They are there for me when we need them (even when I suspected they may not be). They are friendly, helpful, and WAY BETTER than the VPI coverage I had in the past. (VPI was expensive, rates went up every year, they denied claims, and took forever to pay. NOT SO with PETFIRST!! YAY!!!) Less stress when dealing with paying for an emergency, and we dont have to make healthcare decisions based on $. I just wish that upgrading coverage would not make the previous years incident not covered anymore. But, ya cant have everything I guess... I'm still VERY happy.

Outstanding Service from Embrace!!

I'd like to commend Embrace pet Insurance on the wonderful service they provide to those of us who love our pets and consider them family members. We have historically spent tons of money on our pets and decided to insure our latest puppy, Ollie, who is now 3. What a smart decision. He needed TTA surgery and is now recuperating from the ordeal. Since this was a scheduled procedure we had the surgery pre-certified which was a breeze and made the process afterwards flawless. Not only was it financially wonderful, but the compassion and tips from everyone at Embrace made us feel like they were holding our hands throughout the entire process. I can't speak highly enough of the entire Embrace team. Thank you from Ollie and his "parents!"

Health care for animals better than for humans

I am very impressed with PETS BEST insurance. They actually called me to tell me that I might be able to get more of a refund than I had expected because they were now covering certain supplements which is very intelligent because it keeps the animals healthier and lowers vet bills. They have good policies, excepting that they still have riders, but they pay out very well and quickly with no hassles. If there is ever a question, they are open to my vets' feedback and resolve the matter quickly. I find them extremely fair. If only we humans could have such good coverage in the United States. Perhaps the congress needs to look at PETS BEST insurance. I always recommend this company to other pet owners.

Good even in area with high vet prices

Very pleased. Although the payments are based on the average price of vet care, and we are in an area with very high prices, we have been pleased with the amount we have received from our claims. Excellent communication has kept us informed from the time they receive our claim till they pay. Our dogs have been insured for 3 years and we plan to continue our insurance. Every phone call has been answered by staff who has our best interests in mind.
