Trupanion Gives Me Peace of Mind
Thank you, Trupanion, for being such an amazing company! My pup needed dental surgery due and it was so relieving to know I had your insurance on my side. It took less than five minutes for my claim to be approved right there in the vet's office. I'm so glad I've had this insurance since my dog was a few weeks old. Best decision I have ever made!

My big Boy's accident has a good ending!
My Lab had ACL repair with a plate and rod, the plan paid 99% as my policy dictates. It was done efficiently through the Vet Hospital and Trupanion, I didn't have file anything. Unfortunately he had a re-op for infection , the rod and plate were removed. Again 90% paid by my Trupanion Insurance, all things done without me doing any forms. Charger is doing better and I know Trupanion will always be there for him. I am so pleased with the Company and the plan. When you love your pet you don't want anything to jeopardize his life and happiness. Colleen & Charger McQueen

Timing is everything
I turned in my paperwork early January and didn't realize that it doesn't get processed until the next month, which doesn't seem fair to me. Then I performed radiographs 2 days prior to my cat being out of the 30 day waiting period, again not realizing that he still wasn't covered. So now my money didn't go toward the deductible (which is fine, it wasn't very expensive) but also now my cat's cough is considered '˜pre-existing' even though he didn't have a cough when I turned in my paperwork (or even 30 days after I turned in my paperwork). I guess that's just how insurance works for people and pets but I hope that this doesn't end up working against me throughout his lifetime.

Totally not worth it
I have yet to receive ANY explanation as to why when I submitted around $700-$800 in claims, I only received less than $70 in coverage. The dog was having back pain and was very uncomfortable. The vet recommended xrays and further diagnostics. They were not able to determine the source of the pain and prescribed antibiotics in case she did have a UTI. I've never experienced anything like this by using Nationwide. Trupanion determined it was a UTI diagnosis and only applied that amount towards the deductible. I'm HIGHLY disappointed.
