embrace really cares about your pet

I am the proud mom of an 8 month yorkie. Having never been a dog owner I had no idea of the many health issues a dog could experience. Best is what they are...

AWESOME customer service

Very happy customer

Embrace pays out claims quickly and explains benefits clearly. I'm very happy with the service. I wish they had lower prices, but I'm happy with the service I receive.

Took my lab in for tests with specialist,bill was over 2100. trupanion paid .And now I get email raising monthly rates from 85.00 for 2 dogs to 123.00 .Called and was told they are raising rates for everbody with large dogs. My labs in only 53 pds and golden 43 pds. When I signed up told rates will not increase with age and will only increase if area where i live is more expensive. Haven't moved, but told its a rate increase for all pet owners. then why haven't they raised rates for people I referred to trupanion

sketchy service

Called several times--needed to file first claim. Always and only get voicemail. No human! Callback was within 2 days, but still a hassle. Filed 2 claims--one for my dog that died of cancer. That claim was paid. Other claim for bacterial infection which caused diarrhea and required meds and blood tests--nothing was paid on the claim. Very unhappy. Customer service told me didn't need any info from the vet when submitting my claims, but then both times they requested info directly from my vet, thereby delaying my claim. Really, if you are going to insist on vet records, why not insist on them at the time the claim gets filed? So much unnecessary work for everyone, and then to deny the very basics of claims--infection! I had three dogs enrolled on this plan, but now I think I am wasting my time and money.

ASPCA insurance really helped with the bill

Confetti my 12-year old Siamese became listless and didn't eat for three days. My vet recognized that he weas dehydrated and gave him fluids and tests which proved negative. He came home feeling better than before he had gotten sick. This was my first time to have insurance and I am grateful for it.

ASPCA pet insurance is highly recommended.

Pet owner friends of mine recommended that I purchase ASPCA pet insurance on the same day I purchased my puppy. He seemed perfectly healthy, but of course unforeseen accidents occur - puppies eat plants they shouldn't , and many times over the 4 1/2 years I've had him, I've been grateful for the coverage.

Ear Infection Resolved

I had judged Trupanion in hast - Initially an ear infection was denied, but within 1 phone call it was resolved and they have agreed to cover the claim. Trupanion has always been very efficent and honest with me thus far. I regret losing my cool on the first claim they denied. However, they resolved the issue imediately. I can hoenstly say that I would recommend Trupanion to anyone with a cat or dog.

Made a bad situation better

I was grateful that I had an Embrace policy for our little rescued Boston terrier. She was diagnosed with a tumor near her ear drum and after surgery, suffered a life-threatening artery rupture requiring a stay in the veterinary hospital. I submitted my claims and Embrace immediately responded and sent a reimbursement check. Very impressive. They continued to follow up to make sure I had received the check and to inquire about the continuing recovery of my little friend.
