This company is amazing!
I can not express how wonderful this company is.I have had pets my whole life and never had insurance before.I did not believe it would pay on claims.I was so wrong! My Irish Wolfhound puppy slipped on ice and hurt her shoulder and had to have surgery. Trupanion paid 90% of her total cost.The claim process took awhile but it was worth it in the end.If anyone is considering pet insurance this is the company you need to go with.The staff is kind and very helpful.

I am songrateful that my Baby is improving
I am so grateful that I had a really great Vet for my Baby, Caroline and a good insurance to help us pay for her medical needs. I have been recovering from a serious health issue myself and when my baby began needing medical attention, I was so fearful that I could lose her. She was losing almost all of her hair, sleeping virtually all of the time, lethargic, and gaining weight. Her Vet was wonderful, did lab test and gave us a prescription. Nationwide has been great with paying for her care. Now, her hair is returning and she is getting her personality back. She has lost 2.5 pounds of almost 12 pounds since being treated because her Thyroid wasn’t functioning. We are sure she will make a full recovery. Thank you so much Nationwide. You were great!

Wonderful service!
Trupanion has come through for us multiple times with our almost 7-year old lab. They have covered two costly knee surgeries and treatment for chronic allergies. Their claims payment is easy and fast and customer service is friendly, efficient and always helpful. Highly recommend Trupanion - our Sadie has been covered since she was 3 months old.

Be prepared with historical records
The filing was easy. Online. Gathering the necessary records from every vet seen from one year PRIOR to POLICY START up to claim date proved difficult. I’d advise gathering the records now, before a claim, and maybe having them sent on periodically. Not just invoices, but vet clinical notes called SOAP notes. Some vets were easier than others, but it’s a time consuming process. The more vets, or the longer the timeframe the more difficult. Embrace reached out to the vets themselves to assist. So none of this difficulty is their fault. Once they had the necessary records it was a breeze. So, if I start sending records as he sees the vet, any future claim will be very easy.
