Painless Claims Process

Daisy (our Pembroke Welsh Corgi) has been healthy and happy since the day we got her and she is only 4 years old. I was definitely a fence sitter on if I should even get Pet Insurance but I decided to get it around 9 months ago for Daisy. A few weeks ago without warning Daisy came down with what we discovered was Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. She started vomiting and became very lethargic very quickly and had to spend several days in our local 24 hour pet hospital. Daisy definitely gave us a huge scare and thankfully she came through everything and she is back to her happy normal self. The vet bill was definitely a shocker but Healthy Paws covered 90% of Daisy's very large bill (Over $2,700) without question and had us a check in just a few days. I am very thankful for Healthy Paws and i'm now very glad I got off the fence and got pet health insurance and I'm happy I chose Healthy Paws.

Pets Best is really the best pet insurance.

I've had Pet's Best Insurance for at least three years now. Whenever I have used them, I've had such a quick response and payment has been quick. I am really sold on the insurance. If you truly love your dog, please protect them with the best insurance.

Accident

My lil girl got attacked by a larger dog; I rushed her to the er and they were able to help her. What I didnt expect was the rather large bill associated with it. ASPCA was able to save me around 50% on those bills...which is better than nothing. Aspca followed up and gave excellent customer service. Glad I switched from VPI

Healthy Paws Cares

It has been a wonderful experience dealing with Healthy Paws. I really believe these people care. Everyone with whom I spoke was caring, consoling and efficient. My claims have been handled quickly and accurately. If the veterinary practices and the human medical insurers (Cigna, Humana, United Health etc) treated their patients and customers like Healthy Paws does we would all feellike we were in paradise.

Best investment we ever made

We have a high-deductible plan for our two dachshunds; we did not opt for wellness coverage or Rx coverage. It was only purchased to be a cushion for a major/catastrophic event. When one them had a sudden disc herniation that required immediate diagnostic (MRI) and treatment (surgery), we were beyond shocked and overwhelmed--he's barely 4 years old, very athletic and lean; we knew disc issues were common with dachshunds, but given his stature, we never expected a back issue for him. At any rate, it was certainly a nightmare scenario, and it required immediate decisions involving quite a bit of cost to us monetarily and risk as well, considering the surgery wasn't guaranteed to get him walking again. It's too early to tell whether he'll regain function in his back legs, although his neurologist feels certain he will, but one thing's certain: if not for Embrace, he wouldn't have gotten the surgery he needed. The MRI estimate was $2k, the surgery estimate was $4500, and that didn't include the initial consult, ER fee, etc. We needed to know, pretty much immediately, what Embrace would cover, if anything. Embrace was able to expedite our pre-certification forms for the procedures, so we knew same-day what was covered and what our responsibility would be. If we'd had to decide whether to move forward without first knowing what Embrace would reimburse, we would't have been financially able to. We are so incredibly thankful for the kindness and empathy all Embrace staff members used

Pay attention to your Policy Benefits and DATES!!!

We took our two year old Terrier to our Vet for her annual exam - We have been using this Vet for 30 years, he is highly regarded in his profession and he himself had recommended Pets Best... Generally speaking, we have been very pleased with the few claims we've had to submit. HOWEVER, we would CAUTION all policy holders of any pet insurance company to be AWARE of previous exam DATES - in this case, we had our dog's annual exam performed TWO DAYS prior to the completion of one year, and Pet's Best, despite a request to reconsider reimbursement (we have the Wellness plan), has denied our request for reimbursement. We are not in the habit of checking the precise date when the annual exam is performed, perhaps this is our fault - but that Pet's Best would not even consider an exception is very, very disappointing. The sum we sought for reimbursement would have been just shy of $200, and considering our policy's monthly cost is $82 has left us with a sour taste. The obvious lesson here is to be sure you have passed 365 days before repeating an annual exam. We think Pet's Best fails at the "Wellness" plan option - we are paying additional for it yet it's disappointing that they would not even consider an exception - even once - they claim they are bound by the contract limitations bound by the insurance underwriters... If you expect reimbursements, especially for annual exams and the Wellness portion, be aware of this!... Just as our doggie says, we too say Grrr

Prompt response by a real person

My Charlie had a very strange episode. He was clearly uncomfortable, and was making strange head movements. I had no idea what was wrong with him. I videoed it to show the vet. We rushed him to the emergency vet, since my vet wouldn't be available for hours. He didn't demonstrate any of the symptoms by the time we got there, but had him checked out anyway. We agreed to the xrays, but declined blood work. Ended up being a bill around $550 with no clear diagnosis of what happened. Embrace reimbursed me $324.51. Claim was handled promptly and I was able to work with a real person! I'm very please with Embrace.

Wish They Would Cover Me!

Have been using Embrace for about 8 years and they never disappoint. If my insurance covered me like Embrace covers my furry friends - I would be rich! I cannot say enough about these folks - they are always there. When one of my friends crosses the bridge, I get a beautiful card signed by the staff. I often get personal emails checking up on one of them. You cannot get this kind of service and caring from a mega-company listed on the stock exchange.
