Glad I Got Insurance

Recently I got 2 little Maltese puppies at 6 weeks old. Some people recommended I get insurence. Some people (who also have dogs) said it was a rip off and cheaper to just pay the vet bills over-all. I signed up for Embrace but was thinking about canceling it. Soooooo glad I didn't! 2 days after the insurence kicked in I came home to find a lethargic very sick little puppy with out any appetite. He was vomiting and couldn't keep food down. I rushed him to the vet and my bill ran up to over $1200. The claim was very easy to fill out and send in and they covered $781 of it. Definately Not Going To Cancel! It really paid off and its nice to know its there when you really need it :)

Bogus pre-exiting conditions

I tried PetSecure for 6 months. It was a constant fight regarding my dog's so called "pre-existing" conditions. They were not reading my vet's records correctly and as hard as I tried they would not take the time to re-read the documents. Finally when they refused a claim for a condition they had already paid for, I cancelled. They later reexamined the claim and paid the amount. Also, from a letter I received from them, they do not recommend yearly dental cleaning however their brochure states that they pay for this. Since they do not listen to their clients, I will move on the Trupanion.

Recommended

I'm very pleased with Embrace thus far. The claims have been treated fairly and quickly with courtesy. This is my first experiance with pet insurance and I pretty much went with the maximum options. We had a cat that had a rough year with an indoor accident and then cancer. We did not have pet insurance for him and certainly wish we would have. I decided with the two new cats, (all our cats have been rescue animals from the SPCA), we would have the pet insurance. I researched this subject very extensively and found Embrace to be the best with the most options and fair pricing.

I am very PLEASED....

The customer service and personal attention has made a world of difference in this pet insurance. We had originally signed on with VPI Pet insurance that came highly recommended. However, the difference with Embrace is that this insurance company cares! Thank you

Healthy Paws exceeded my expectations!

I dropped Holly off for her first day of doggy day care and when I picked her up that evening she had a huge hole in her chest. While the dogs were playing in the back yard another dog attacked her. Off we went to the after hours emergency vet and then to our normal vet first thing the following morning. The wound was pretty bad and required extensive surgery. When all was said and done the bill came to $835. I submitted my claim 8:30am Thursday morning and at 2:40pm I received an email that my claim had been received. Fifteen minutes later I received another email that the claim was approved and the check would be mailed shortly. The check arrived on Monday - exactly one week after the attack! Wow! Health Paws customer service has been great and they've contacted me several times to check in on Holly. I had pet insurance with another company and the service was nothing like Healthy Paws. I based my decision to sign up with Healthy Paws on the reviews on this website and am so glad I did!

Rip you off...

I submitted one claim which was declined. They claim it is a pre-exsisting condition which is not true. Do not buy this insurance. Complete frauds. I had my dog insured and when I noticed the age on the contract was 7 months wrong, I had to have it reissued with an entirely new contract, thus they said she wasn't covered.

A MUST for a health pet

We have used ASPCA Pet Insurance for 3 years, and find it would have been very difficult to afford good Vet care for our Golden without it. We are retired and on a fixed income, but believe that the pet insurance is as important as our own health insurance. We get what we pay for...ASPCA is careful when approving payment under our plan; but we have always been satisfied.

Great Service and Fast Processing

Their reps are some of the friendliest people I've ever spoken with on the phone. They've processed my claims quickly and reimbursement has been as expected with zero hassle. Most recently, due to a computer problem on their end, they happened to lose my claim form, but they called and apologized for the problem and proceeded to process my claim within 2 hours of resubmission! That's impressive service by any measure.

No hassles with claim.

Sometime last summer my Labradoodle helped herself to leftover corn on the cob out of the trash. For some reason it took until Thanksgiving week to cause an intestinal obstruction. She had to have emergency surgery. She is almost 4 and I have had Embrace since she was a pup. This was my first claim and I anticipated there may be some hassle. I submitted the paper work and all went very smoothly. They communicated with me frequently with e-mail and I was very pleased. It gives me peace of mind knowing they are reliable and honest.
