I did a lot of research before choosing Embrace. My initial well care refund was fast, no questions asked. My second well care visit was slightly more difficult because they required pproof of my dogs prevous medical history and since I adopted a shleter dog I had no prior hstory to present. Eventually I was reimbursed for the full visit and payment arrived 4 weeks later. Overall they are very helpful and try to accomodate the pet owner. I would recommend them to friends.

Great coverage - fast processing

This was my second claim with Petfirst Healthcare. My dog suffered a torn ear while playing with another dog so we had to go to the emergency clinic for stitches. It took about 4 weeks to heal as well as several vet visits to re-bandage. I opted to wait until all treatment related to the incident was completed before submitting my claim. Processing was FAST. We had to go to three different vets for this incident, so for each I submitted the claim form, the receipt, and the medical record for that incident. I faxed in all the information and 8 days later they cut a check. I submitted a claim for $526 (total of all visits), they deduct $50 for the deductible (which is per incident) and pay me back for 90% of the remainder, so I received $428 on $526 out of pocket. I think the deductible may have increased to $100 per incident, which is still great coverage in my opinion. They are a great value and easy to work with!

So far so good:)

I received six weeks free trial when I adopted my dog in Sept. Thank goodness that I did not need to use it. However, I did sign up a couple days before it expired. Therefore I had not waiting period and did not have to pay the initial member fee.I really have never had a positive thing to say about any other companies, as the plans were insane. When my previous cattle dog was alive. I did end up going with TRUPANION. The price was ridiculous. I stayed with them for 3 months. My dog had NO pre-existing issues. Although I did not make a claim, I left. I found them to be nit pickers to the nth degree! So many people failed to receive compensation. I would never consider becoming a member or any insurance company for that matter. However, due to the fact that i received the 6 week trial when I rescue my boy.. I found myself calling so I could ask as many questions as possible. The agents I spoke too(I called lots!)were so kind and seemed genuinely interested to help me . In any event ,I chose Secure 3.I had my dogs teeth done. I really felt like there must be a trick and I would not be covered at all. I was so happy to find I was getting reimbursed .WOW! They paid 80% of my entire claim. The took my 100.00 deductible off. I ended up getting a good reimbursement. I was thrilled...Then, to top it off, I found out that I had satisfied my deductible and I did not have to pay this again, until next October! I had no idea! I thought I would have to pay the deductible for each clai

I have a new puppy and right away put her on a health insurance plan. Thankful I did because she had an injury and aspca came right threw with protection. Our pets become part of our family and like os and our children get sick, have accidents and need wellness care. We put health insurance on the rest of our family why on earth would we not put it on our loved pets as well!

Wellness claims paid, illness claim denied

Recently had wellness and illness claims for our dachshund puppy. The claims processing was a bit slow but we did receive e-mails with updated status. The illness claim was denied due to uncertainty over whether the symptoms were due to a pre-existing condition. Would prefer not to have to appeal (would have helped to know what tests were needed before the claim was submitted) but the claims representative was clear in what we will need to provide for the appeal.

Best customer service!

Fortunately, i don't have to call embrace too often (healthy pup so far). But the few times i have called, everyone I talk to is extremely helpful and very nice. They are also very quick in responding to emails which I find very convenient!

Healthy Paws exceeds expectations

I can’t say enough good things about our experience so far with Healthy Paws. Our dog Angel, who was diagnosed with carcinoma, has undergone radiation therapy and is now undergoing chemotherapy. Without Healthy Paws, we would be facing a substantial financial burden for her treatment. Everyone we’ve dealt with has been friendly, compassionate and responsive. Claims have been processed and paid quickly. We couldn’t be happier with the coverage and service we’ve received, and the peace of mind that comes with not having to worry about or make decisions based on cost is priceless. I’ve already recommended Healthy Paws to several friends and I know at least a couple have enrolled. If I could give a higher rating than 10, I would.

Thank goodness for Embrace!

Our dog injured his back and Embrace has been wonderful in handling the claim. It was very scary, leaving our dog at the emergency clinic on a holiday weekend and worrying about the large vet bills to come. Our dog is now currently in rehab and Embrace has been a huge relief to us. Customer service has been great - Embrace has stayed in touch while they had delays due to a new computer system, but have paid everything per our policy. I am very thankful we have this coverage and I have and will continue to recommend them to our veterinarians and other pet owners.
