My pup had to go in for a proptosed eye (don't google it), and I received all the advice I needed on filing the claim. When he popped his stitches and had to go back in for as second surgery, I was extremely pleased to not get hassled by ASPCA. They were very understanding that accidents do happen, even after the initial accident. Their instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and I received email updates about my claim well within the timeline of what they estimated. It took the headache out of what could have been a very painful process.

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Healthy Paws since we enrolled in October 2014. Highly, highly recommend. I've been telling all of our friends about Healthy Paws. Too bad "people" health insurance isn't as great.

Our Bernese mountain dog pup is 9 months old. She's well bred but she's been more sickly than we expected so early in her life. (We expected a fairly expensive adulthood as BMDs sometimes have lots of problems). So far in akmost 7 months of owning her we have spend over 3500 in vet bills. This includes a spay/gastroplexy, microchip, emergency room visit & overnight hospitalization for pre-bloat, treatment for conjunctivitis, lyme disease test and treatment for Lyme disease (yep, positive), hurt paw exam & antibiotics, a vet visit over bleeding viral wart she'd chewed off her paw (now it's on her mouth!), an office visit to check on her spay stitches, vaccines, heart worm pills, routine checkups, flea and tick prevention, and I can't recall what else. ASPCA approved reimbursements for 745$ of it. they do not pay the actual cost of procedures, they do not pay for all the required treatments. I think we are going to cancel our policy and just save 90$ per month for her vet bills. Next up we have to do an ortho scan (under general anesthesia) because she's still lame. That's several hundred I doubt they'll reimburse. It's a racket. Waste of money.

First time using Insurance for my dogs. Submitted claim for tests, surgery, etc. Was pleasantly surprised at the quick service. Received my checks within a week of submittal. Also received email an email to see how my dog was doing. Will recommend to all my animal lover friends.

My 10 month old puppy wouldn't stop throwing up and looked so lethargic. I knew she had to be seen by a vet. I took her to an emergency vet since it was after normal business hours and they treated her and observed her overnight. I was so worried about her but thankfully she was better the next day and I took her home. I filed my claim with Healthy Paws the next day and within a week the claim was processed! Within a week and a half I received the reimbursement check! Then I received an email from Healthy Paws checking in to see how my puppy was doing! I was so flabbergasted by the excellent customer service that I felt compelled to write a review here. I wish all companies had such great customer service! I wholeheartedly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone shopping for pet insurance!

After our dog's recent infection, we were very thankful to have Healthy Paws help defray our expenses. We appreciate the ease of submitting a claim, the quick processing time, and the caring staff. We were skeptical about pet insurance prior to this, but Healthy Paws didn't nickle and dime us - they covered what they said they would, quickly and easily. We are very happy with the level of care we have received from Healthy Paws.

We have had pets insured with Healthy Paws for over 3 years. Their customer service is fantastic, and our claims are always processed very quickly. I often tell other pet owners that getting a policy with Healthy Paws was the best decision we have ever made. Having this kind of coverage and great service relieves a huge amount of stress when your pet is sick or injured - you know you can get them the care they need without worrying about the cost. I can't recommend Healthy Paws highly enough, except perhaps to say, I wish they provided health insurance for humans because I would gladly get my own coverage through them!

Healthy Paws has been insuring my Pet since we got him.They recently covered my dogs surgery cost. I sent them over an estimate and they told me it would be covered under his policy. Once the surgery was complete, the invoice was sent and they emailed me within a few days showing exactly what was covered. They even followed up to ask how our pet was doing. Great company with great service.
