Was not as positive a I had expected

Atthis point I have no comment on Embrace Pet Insurance. Its too soon to tell and it seems like it took so much red tape to get to this point of you finally sending me a check and I felt that you weren't tusting my word?? The one person that I felt was really helpful and I like talking with her alot was Megan at ext. #125 I believe it was. Everyone else (and there were many) that contacted me seemed so skeptical, which I really didn't care for and was almost ready to cancel. I marked "no" below regarding if I would recommend this company only because it is too soon for me to tell and my first experience with that recent claim was not positive at all and I felt you weren't trying to help me out at all.

Be Forewarned!

Pets Best? Like pulling teeth! They'll do everything they can to get out of paying a legitimate claim. If you enjoy doing battle every time in order to receive what is coming to you, then maybe this is the company for you. As for myself, I'm looking elsewhere!!

Great Service

Our puppy has been dealing with a bad case of Dermetitis, which has required numerous vet visits. I faxed the forms into Embrace and they immediately responded that they had received them. Within a few weeks I did receive a check, for a part of the claim. The customer service has been exceptional.

not that impressed

My dog ran into the street and was hit by a car, I think.I never saw it happen. All I know for sure is that he was hurt and scared and trying to reach me. A visit to my vet included exam and xrays, meds and advise. $292. After insisting upon a review of Franke's entire medical histort and tine and frustration, the claim to be paid was $50 or so. I am not pleased.

Beyond Grateful

I am once again humbled by the graciousness, and promptness of how Embrace has taken care of me, and more importantly, my pet. With every email they ask how my pet is doing, and I am always amazed by how much they care. My 3 year old Havanese just ruptured her CCL, and she's had other medical issues this year. Embrace paid 80% of her surgery bill, and saved my life. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.

Gone Downhill Fast

I have had this insurance since 2008 and used to recommend this insurance to everyone I knew with pets. Within the past couple of years, they have continually raised rates, I am now paying over 3 times what I did when I signed up. They have also doubled the deductible and added a bunch of exclusions. Of course they dont tell you about the new exclusions. You get to find out after the claim was denied. Once your pet is diagnosed with something they pay for it a couple of times and then make it a chronic condition, which they dont cover. My dog got diabetes and they stopped paying for it after 3 months. Now I have to pay for all the insulin, doctor visits, and bloodwork myself. Then he got arthritis, only covered the expensive medicine once. Also, my daughters dog tore its ACL. Claim was denied because they dont cover ACL injuries anymore. I canceled my coverage and telling everyone else I know to also.

Best Investment

This is my third year with Embrace and everything from the first enrollment form to this recent Wellness claim has been easy! When I needed to speak to a live person, they have always been friendly and helpful. Submitting claims by PDF/ email attachment is convenient and quick. The direct deposit for the claim reimbursement saves time and avoids running to the bank. I have two dogs insured and would not change it for anything!!

Pets Best is the best insurance.

Pets Best Insurance was the only pet insurance that would take my dog at 10 years old. Everyone else turned us down even though the dog had no serious chronic health problems at the time. Pets Best has help us with our dog Kacie for five years. Kacie was put to rest on 10/1/11, but being the animal lover that I am I know I will get another dog when the time is right and Pets Best Insurance will be the first call I make. Thanks for everything.

Thank You Pets Best!!

I am so grateful to Pets Best Insurance. I insured my Golden Retriever Barney when he was 13.5 years old – my vet could not believe that an insurance company would even accept a pet at this advanced age! Five months later Barney was diagnosed with melanoma, & the vet bills have been substantial (we live in NY where the cost of everything is astronomical!) Pets Best Insurance has fully covered 80% of Barney’s vet invoices, & this has alleviated the financial strain of his illness. I am also delighted to say that Barney is doing very well & is enjoying his doggie life! When the time comes to get a new pup, I plan to insure him immediately with Pets Best. Peace of mind, as they say, really is priceless. I am so impressed with this company that I requested their brochures to give to all of my doggie clients as well as to Barney’s many vets.
